I would rather keep the Black Friday game with Nebraska, over playing Wisconsin

Eastern Iowa, and I hate Wisconsin, like no other. But the smart bet is Nebraska. The heat has always been there, and its getting real. Plus I have a lot of friends from there.

I knew we had one of the best teams, probably top 10, the last 15 years, top 3 in the BT, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised to see so many hawks fans sporting hawk gear at the SB.

I have walked through many airports and heard, Go Hawks or On Iowa, because I had my gear on. I do it too. Love this state. And love to run into a Hawkeye on the road. Loud and proud baby!!!

Man I love Iowa as a state and school. So proud. We have top 10 team over last 15 years, top 3 brand in BT, we routinely route bucknuts and nebbers. Our message board is definitely Top 2-3. Our players in the NFL try harder and play better. I’d put the hawks up against any team in the nation, make it a night game at kinnick and we win 9 out of 10 against Bama.
Id rather play Wisconsin. Play up a level instead of down. It helps our recruiting and likely has more national interest.
I just love how their old AD did one last thing to piss off their fan base by saying he didn’t really want Black Friday games and now too late to play in it for least 2 years.
As long as we play that Friday. In all honesty we should all end the season wifh Minny, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Nebraska and just rotate with a home and home every two years
Wisky is a much better program at this point and I would rather play them.
I’d like to keep it Nebraska-Iowa as well. I know Nebraska hasn’t been competitive the last couple years, but I like the rivalry building between the two schools. Been a rough couple years, but Nebraska won’t be down forever.
Friday game should be against Nebraska. Iowa needs the game for national attention. Nebraska is a bigger draw than Wisc. Always will be. Add in Frost against KF and it's a no brainer.
People aren't going to tune in to watch us demolish them again. They want to tune in to a good game.
Wisconsin provides that.
Nebraska doesn't.
Nebraska provides a better draw maybe for the over 49 demographic.
Penn St. and Ohio St. will dominate in the foreseeable future.
More widely watched in your parents' basement.
Wisconsin is Iowa's real rival. Like it or not they are. So when we play them at the end it will be glorious. Maybe it will be brutal cold and snow to make it real.
If it can't be Iowa vs Nebraska every Black Friday then I like this idea. The West plays on Friday and flex the games to maximize the schedule and the East plays on Saturday.
The West will come down to Iowa v Wisconsin for literally the next 10 years, so making it the BFG makes sense. Other than Wisconsin, we are playing at a much higher level than any other team in the West, not really even close.
Am I the only one that feels a little guilty after Iowa beats them by 50 every year.
