Their whole school identity is tied to football. There is nothing good about the state. Full of regressive types.

In the 49 and over age demographic I would agree.
Again, a nationally televised game would do better by Iowa if we played someone with a pulse - people are going to switch channels the moment we are up on Nebby by 3 touchdowns.
Out of state recruits don't see Iowa with the set off.
We play historically much closer to Wiscy. More national interest in close, hard fought battles and it attracts the type of kids who Excel at and love our brand of football...which is more similar to Wisconsin and the type Nebby hasn't learned yet.
