because it is still one of the few places that dream exists if you work hard enough for it.Weird how a country that supposedly only benefits the rich has millions of migrants trying to enter the country each year.
The United States
The United States has long had more immigrants than any other country. In fact, the U.S. is home to one-fifth of the world's international migrants.

What the data says about immigrants in the U.S.
In 2022, roughly 10.6 million immigrants living in the U.S. were born in Mexico, making up 23% of all U.S. immigrants.www.pewresearch.org
That is an excellent question I have been trying to figure out since the election.because it is still one of the few places that dream exists if you work hard enough for it.
Please explain how republicans create laws that benefit the very very few, yet get the poor to vote for it. Hope. Everyone believes they will be rich someday, so that inheritance tax, capital gains tax will eventually be needed.

The government does disproportionately favor the rich, for obvious reasons, but it’s also true people on the lower end of the economic spectrum still have it pretty good compared to other countries.Weird how a country that supposedly only benefits the rich has millions of migrants trying to enter the country each year.

There’s also a lot more economic opportunity here if you’re willing to work hard and take shit jobs no one wants then move up from there. What wealthy stable country shares a land border of thousands of miles with a far less wealthy and stable country? The only other one I know of which is even close (N Korea/S Korea) that border is heavily militarized and the less wealthy country will murder your family if you leave.
Geography explains a lot of that.
Migrants don't usually have the wealth to pick and choose anyplace in the world they want to go. They tend to take what they can get.

Us? Seems like Canada qualifies, unless "far less" is meant to also modify "stable".What wealthy stable country shares a land border of thousands of miles with a far less wealthy and stable country? Canada is not remotely as wealthy as the US. My point is they are significantly less wealthy yet stable, unless you were going for significantly less wealthy and significantly less stable.Canada is not significantly more wealthy than the US

Well that is a different analysis entirely. In terms of wealth I am more or less going towards standard of living. Certainly more so than GDP.
Standard of living in Canada is probably pretty close to par with the US if not slightly better.
Google AI says:Well there is more opportunity than there is in Mexico, S. America and Central America I will give you that.
I don't buy this being the ultimate land of opportunity anymore. Our socio-economic mobility in his country is extremely low for a developed nation.
Not true,.. Illegal immigrants from all over the globe are currently passing through multiple other countries before finally arriving at the US southern border,.. These people have selected their destination.
Some immigrants are granted subsidies and after grifting the USA to become a billionaire, he is going to be put in charge of even more subsidies and contracts coming his way. That's what's weird, or more commonly known as corrupt.Weird how a country that supposedly only benefits the rich has millions of migrants trying to enter the country each year.

Where do you see other developed nations having high mobility for economic advancement?Well there is more opportunity than there is in Mexico, S. America and Central America I will give you that.

Most, if not all, countries you would consider developed have higher forms of socialism and therefore fewer people “well off.” I think the difference isn’t wealth per se but quality of life and contentment. Most Americans are stressed to the max, barely scraping by, and have the added stress of minimal safety nets should a job loss or serious illness occur. So, in that sense, I would agree other developed countries have a higher standard of living based on overall health and more satisfaction with life. They do not, however, have higher mobility opportunities for prosperity compared to the United States.

I didn't vote for Trump. Some immigrants are granted subsidies and after grifting the USA to become a billionaire, he is going to be put in charge of even more subsidies and contracts coming his way. That's what's weird, or more commonly known as corrupt.
But that's what you voted for.
WhateverI didn't vote for Trump.
