If Jesus Christ were president, would he deport undocumented immigrants?

I voted no but the poll is leaving out a lot of other important information. Jesus wouldn’t deport them but he would also be trying to educate them. He also wouldn’t be paying them to live here. If he did have money to give, he would give it to the people that needed it most. Whether that’s an illegal or someone legal to live here. If Jesus was president, there’s also a good chance illegals wouldn’t be wanting to come here in the first place.

You never cease to amaze….

I’m trying to envision a scenario in which he was joking.

I got nothing.
So are we just assuming everything is the same and Jesus is just allowing illegals to stay or has Jesus changed the entire US to what he believes. If he has changed the entire US, the country won’t be how it is now. All the rich people will have moved away and we’re probably a poor country. Are we putting people in jail or do we forgive people for their crimes. Are people going to stay here if they have to forgive everyone?

Today we went back to illegal aliens from "undocumented immigrants".

They are here illegally, you can acknowledge that.
I break speeding laws everyday. That's illegal, but it doesn't make me a criminal.

Illegal entry is a civil violation. It's not a criminal offense.

And, even if it was, so what. When did you become so critical of felons?

Listened to a guy last night. He talked about reading the old testament and how he could not reconcile some things.

As an agnostic, I carry more Christian values than Trump.

I believe most of us do, Jimmy. And it’s a good thing we do, too.

Hell if you follow the Golden Rule you are miles ahead of Trump.

Curious. What couldn’t he reconcile?
Can I offer up the 10 oldest people in the Bible:
10. Enoch – 365 Years Old
9. Lamech – 777 Years Old
8. Mahalalel – 895 Years Old
7. Enos – 905 Years Old
6. Kenan – 910 Years Old
5. Seth – 912 Years Old
4. Adam – 930 Years Old
3. Noah – 950 Years Old
2. Jared – 962 Years Old
1. Methuselah – 969 Years Old

Ahhh, my favorite...when people that don't believe in Jesus or Christianity and mock the very premise, but also purport to know exactly what he would have to say.

"This clown idea that I have nothing but disdain for...proves you are wrong!"

But anyway...the premise is absurd on its face as Jesus would never be president, and Jesus isn't a Republican or Democrat or a earthly politician. He never claimed to come to solve major political questions of his time or any time, and expressly rejected the pressure on him to do so. And that's just as much an indictment on the way many Republican politicians leverage him as it is to try to leverage him this way.

That's not accurate.
It is accurate, but there are stipulations that could make it a criminal offense.

Such as:
  • Whether the person has been previously ordered deported and reentered the country
  • Whether the person entered the country between ports of entry
  • Whether the person avoided inspection or examination
  • Whether the person made false statements while entering
  • The number of times the person has illegally entered the country

State and city officials have spent hundreds of millions of dollars to provide housing, clothes and food to more than 35,000 migrants who were transported to the Windy City, Fox News reported.

“You think he’s going to lose his job?” Smith asked.

“Oh, without a question or a doubt,” Paladino responded. “And if he doesn’t lose his job, that should be looked into, because the people themselves have spoken. You’ve got to realize, this is a minority mayor who is talking and the people making the biggest fuss about this is the minority community in his city of Chicago. Their neighborhoods are under siege.”

So you’re not a Christian

My understanding is that it's a criminal offense, but could carry civil penalties (i.e.: just a fine, no jail), that could escalate based on the above.
