Illinois play by play...

I'll stop here but listening to MI on the broadcast I've never heard him this angry. He is seething. I think he's seen enough ( TnT ). It is affecting him and to me, a fan but not a fanatic of Iowa wrestling this is troubling. Not to mention the wresting tonight. I love TnT but it seems the mojo aint there.

Truly awful wrestling. Slow motion, straight in shots, nothing on top. It was just depressing to watch.

Thank you Sam stoll
Probably should be thank you IA Chief. I'm almost positive I saw @IAChief32 slipping the IL 285 a few grand in the runway for him to attempt to lateral Stoll with his team up 5.

Who says PSU is the only team with a slush fund? The Chiefs presence in Iowa is paying dividends already. ;)

Nice job Iowa pulling out what was a pretty poor performance down low. That's what top teams do. I think we may see something similar on Sunday with PSU-Lehigh if Joseph doesn't go.

THANKS CHIEF!!!!!!

Yes that was Terry touching the ref Tom had to pull him outta away was afarid might cost us a point..

Thanks. Lots of distractions here the last five minutes -- I had the sound off and was very confused. How did that not cost us a point? Note sure I've ever seen that before.

Are you being sarcastic? Wilke was by far the better wrestler, and this should never have had to go to overtime.
Yeah - sarcasm. This whole meet was pretty embarrassing. Wilke in particular should have won by 15. Guy did not want to wrestle = so what. I'm sorry to all here that I turned to sarcasm to present a point that Iowa looks bad and seems to wrestle slow and lazy and too high when on the feet.

The problem with Iowa is they have no spark. Lee would give us that if we started at 125. Without Lee I would start duals with Kremerer. He might have fallen asleep watching really bad wrestling. That is why he didn't rake up points.
Kremerer big win and everyone else wrestles inspired.

I am not trying to make excuses. I am not a die hard Hawk fan. But this is a rebuilding year. This is how it looks.
Ok, but saying we aren’t wrestling good today because we are saving it for March is a flat out crazy excuse. Makes no sense. Should IMar wrestle bad tonight so he can do better in March? Should Zain do crappy in his next match so he wrestles better in March? What you said makes no sense.

Not trying to be the voice of reason or anything, but when the Hawks underperform at the NCAAs they get blamed for peaking too early and being run into the ground. Now they appear to be taking it slower and saving a little for the end of the year and they are catching crap. WOW, you guys are a tough crowd. Also, this is what a rebuilding year looks like.
This could possibly be one of the worst analogies in the long and illustrious career of analogies. Congratulations.

Really? That’s s why Kem didn’t didn’t score more points?

Rough night, we'll take it. Go suck a Cael
I think you might be new to wrestling. This is not a victory to brag about.
Don't believe I see anyone bragging me think we all pissed off lol but God has a plan and no one knows but him right. I know I don't know all I know Hawks have a lot of hard work ahead.Long time till March

I think it's pretty damn tame around here tonight. Glad I just had to listen instead of watch, because based on Mark Ironside's commentary, my eyes would have taken a beating, as his clearly did. Can't say that I'm stunned overall, but I'm a bit surprised that we were pretty poor up and down the majority of the lineup apparently. We've had poor outings before however, so this is just another one that we got away with I guess.

Promised him all the Carver ice cream he could eat. He is currently getting his fill while the team bus waits.

Even though he's not great and not here yet, Nelson is is an out of control, spastic animal. Can't wait for that energy on this team. Attack wrestling!!!

It's a down year, let it fly and have a blast. There's nothing to lose. 8th place in the NCAAs is the same as 2nd to me.

Don’t be negative on the board Sans, it hurts the program. :) I agree, nothing to lose, let the fur fly. That’s why it’s frustrating to have what? 9 takedowns in the meet and have our studs eke out wins.

BS, Kem, and Gunther's guys were clearly wrestling to not give up bonus. All they did was cling and try not to get turned. Illinois clearly had that in there game plan for those matches. To bad for them the 285 guy didn't stick to the game plan.

Young didn't do that. He tried to score and took a lot of shots and chances. Guy he wrestled was a hammer and wasn't having any of it. I'd rather have wrestlers go out there and fight hard only to get out classed then cling and try to not give up bonus.

That Illinois kid looked like they pulled him out of the stands and told him to throw away his half-eaten hotdog, strap on a headgear, and try not to get pinned.

I’m with you until the last sentence, dude went straight to his back.
