Iowa at West Point

Thought for sure Warner and Cass would get at least one of the duals off with the All-Star match on Tuesday.

If Iowa continues to wrestle 2-3 backups every year against ISU...of course the Clones have a chance.

Just remember that it's ISU, they'll figure out a way to muck it up.
I’ll head up a go fund me campaign to pay for your therapy expenses if they don’t find a way to muck it up. (And that’s about as close as Imma come to saying the “L,” word in this case, so as not to risk a triggering incident.)

I thought PK looked great… especially considering his current personal circumstances… one of his HS coaches, Frank Marchant passed recently…like less than a week ago… here is what I posted on the pin doctors page just a bit ago:

Shout-out to 🔨, Patrick Kennedy of Kasson-Mantorville HS in MN and current wrestler for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Patrick aka “PK” won his 2nd match of his debut varsity season tonight in dominant fashion, putting together a 22-9 MD over Dalton Harkins of Army-West Point. What makes this win even more impressive is the adversity the guy has recently faced, for less than a week ago, one of Patrick’s HS coaches at Kasson-Mantorville HS and family friends, Frank Marchant (state champ from Humboldt HS in Iowa) passed away. Frank would certainly be proud of PK right now with the way he wrestled tonight! He absolutely could not wait to watch PK compete for the Hawkeyes.

PK was a 4X State Champ in HS. He was also a Fargo Freestyle Junior National Champion as well as the 2018 Super 32 champion. He also placed 2nd at Fargo in 2017. His HC in HS was former Hawkeye All-American and 2X State Champ out of Humboldt HS in the 90’s, Jamie Heidt.

Patrick is coming off a summer where he won a U23 World Team Trial title. He is one of the emerging leaders of the current Iowa Hawkeye wrestling team.

Sad to hear about Frank's passing, only a couple years older than me if I remember correctly.
