It's like a lid was on each basket. Just awful.
A bit of a let down game, A win is a win, Get the mental batteries recharged for OSU.

About the only thing I can say about this game is they won and played pretty tough defense
Both teams had decent 3rd quarters in FG%. Hawks with 58.3% and Rutgers with 46.2%. The rest was, well, shall we say, not very good.
Yes, another bad game, however, in that game Olsen was 2 of 12 with four points and we had 19 turnovers.
I was hoping we have turned the corner. Man, we look bad. But it can be like this. Last year in the NCAA 1st round games it was scary.
Let's hope we have both barrels locked and loaded for the OSU, UCLA and Michigan games from the jump to the buzzer.
Right, we beat USC and they beat UCLA, so we should be able to beat UCLA right!
If (IF) Iowa can get a win vs OSU, they have the full week to prepare for UCLA. Contrast this to the UCLA schedule with a game vs. Illinois Thursday night 2/20 and then a game 3 days later on Sunday 2/23 in Iowa City. That is a quick turn road trip for a west coast team with a day of prep at home and a travel day on Saturday, so if Iowa is looking for small advantages that might help.
Lots of prep time and scout for that game, and iowa should be well rested. I expect fans at CHA to bring their A-game on a Sunday, especially if the team is riding a 7 game streak.

Defense wins you games when your having an off night shooting the ball.
Jan seems to have this fact down after less than one year as the HC. Are you paying attention Fran??

You may be right, but I would guess that UCLA won't fly back home between games. Still a lot more time on the road and disruption of routine for all the new West Coast teams.
That game was ugly as hell. Lucy was great, Syd did some things and the rest was terrible. We inexplicably started the game try to run the offense through the post and that set an ugly tone. Between our post feed problems and Stuelke not being able to make 3 foot shots it's a terrible concept. Please learn Jan from the many other games this year when standing and trying to run the offense through the post was bad. We started playing better when people moved, the ball moved, dribble penetration and find the open person.
Meh….did we ever play better?! The team not named Lucy was 9-35. Jan wasn’t bricking shots, generally speaking players win or lose the game.
Fortunately they rebounded and played defense good enough to offset it. 🤷♂️
