Definitely not an easy one for me to predict (not that I'm a basketball crystall ball or anything). I think this game could easily swing anywhere from a 10pt loss to a 15pt win for Iowa depending on the foul situation and outside shooting by either team.

My prediction:
Iowa 77
Indiana 72

Let's hope the boys can make the rematch in Iowa City possibly matter a bit less by taking care of this one on Thursday!!

While I like to think the hawks dream season continues, IU is a pretty good ball club. They had an off night shooting @ PSU and it showed. They can get hot from 3 and if they do it could be a long night.

I think the hawks can make this a close one, but I think IU at home will steal one from the hawks. This point in the season you start to see some fatigue on the players and the grind is slowly winding down. Iowa hasn't had that "oh Sh!t" game yet and I think this could be one spot where it happens.

IU 82
IA 78

I think its a hard fought game and IU hits just enough shots down the stretch.

Not feeling good. Our second big national spotlight game with a top ESPN broadcast team on the road. IU 74-Iowa 68. We don't play well, unfortunately.

Make me wrong Hawks!

They both like to get up and down the court, so I'm thinking higher scoring. I'll go 91-81 Iowa.

With Anthony Clemons guarding Yogi Ferrell the Hawks
have a great opportunity to shut down the Indiana offense
The Hawkeyes win by 8 points.

I think we make some adjustments from Sunday's game and come in ready to rock and roll. I think we're the better team but it will be tight the whole way.
Iowa 76
Indiana 71

IU just got thumped by PSU. Iowa won by double digits @ Bloomington last year. IU is a paper Hoosier, and PSU exposed them. Iowa will do no less. Hawkeyes by a dozen. The beat downs go on.

They aren't as deep down low. If we can utilize our depth, control the glass, guards rebound missed 3s, play tough defense we should win. But you could have said the same thing vs Wi last yr.....

Iowa - 84
Indiana - 71

Sapp shuts down Yogi. Our length is too much to overcome and they only shoot 15% behind the arc because of it. (3-20) Uthoff has a block party.

Indiana has not faced a defense like us all year. They'll hit some shots to stay in it, but in the end the better team will win. Iowa 81 Hoosiers 75. Woodbury and Uthoff go for back to back double doubles.

82-66 Iowa. Sapp on Yogi and Woodbury mans the post. Indiana hasn't played a team of Iowa's caliber this year

I don't think IN will only shoot 15% from 3, but I think this score might be close. We matchup one of the best defenders in the B1G in Sapp vs Ferrell. Then there's Woody, who's held better players than Bryant at bay, in this case as a veteran senior vs a frosh. Then there's JU vs Williams. That's IU's top scorers with tough defensive matchups. Their bench has been playing well, but Uhl, Wagner, and Baer have been too. I know IU is smarting coming off a loss @PSU. But the last loss Iowa had was vs a contender at their arena. IN should be worried about IA wanting to make up for that.

81-75 Iowa. Woody dominates the post. Takes Bryant completely out of the game. Iowa's efficient on offense and slows down indiana's offense enough to come out with a W.

I've been going back and forth on this one for the past week but I'm starting to lean towards the Hawks.

If I go based on strictly the eye test, I have Iowa by double digits.
If I go based on strictly resume, I have Iowa by double digits
If I go based on what we do well vs. what they dont do well, I have Iowa by double digits
If I go based on logic (home court advantage, college kids, 1st place on the line), I have Iowa by 5+

Heart says: Hawkeyes 83 Hoosiers 70

Based on this years performances the following will happen:
- Clemmons will be able to successfully annoy Yogi all night. I expect a below avg. game from YF
- Woodbury will own the paint and is no match for what the Hoosiers bring on the court
- Uthoff will break out of his slump, putting up 25+

We must keep Woody on the floor, we must rebound well and we must keep Yogi under control, less than 15 pts. All that happens and we win by 10 or more. They win the rebound battle, Yogi goes off and/or Woody has a short nite and it could go the other way. My guess, Hawks 85, Whosurmomma 80. Go Hawks!!

I too have been going back and forth but I am now solidly in the Hawkeyes camp on this one.
1) Woody controls the inside, Bryant gets in early foul trouble and has to sit.
2) Sapp holds Yogi pretty well in check.
3) IU shoots well but not incredibly well from outside.
4) Hawks control the boards and the game.

Iowa- 73
IU- 63

I think Uthoff and the boys learned their lesson from the Maryland game and come out guns a blazin and focused. This team is built for the road and has already shown that they have broken the mold that we're used to seeing from Iowa teams in the past 30 years. Put your hearts out there Hawk fans and make yourselves vulnerable for this one and believe...it oughtta be fun. Our final stretch looks more daunting to me than I thought it would and it all starts with this game Thursday. Hawks 81, Hoosiers 69.
