Iowa once had a McCaffrey type player

Can you just admit you pulled that 4.4 out of your rear? The "twice as fast" comment was clearly an exaggeration. Your 4.4 claim originally wasn't. You were wrong.
He ran a low of 4.41 and a high of 4.62 for a 4.51 average so no I didn't pull it out of my ass. And of course that was after not playing for a couple years before going back to morningside.

And this:
That earned Wegher an invitation to the Medal of Honor Bowl in Charleston, South Carolina, where he led all rushers with 94 yards on 14 carries. He then went to Iowa State's Pro Day, where he impressed scouts with a time of 4.40 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

So to be equally accurate, he ran a 4.62. Got it. I wonder if he got timed for that mythical 4.4 before or after his PED issues.

Just curious, did you grow up north of I-80 and west of I-35?

I'm not saying he was all world but I will call out people who make foolish statements.

Not a bad comparison. McCaffrey is a very RARE talent. Crazy good! I'd say Dwight was actually a bit faster, but McCaffrey is bigger and more powerful and still runs that fast.

Yes, I always wished we used TD more. Some probably don't know he was a running back at City High, and was a sight to behold. He typically only played the first half of 10 games, because of the 50 point rule and City dominated. So he effectively played the equivalent of 5 total games, and rushed for 48 touchdowns! Wish we would have used him as a runner more
