Thanks for the invite. I don't really like to predict so far in advance. Too much can change. Starting lineups aren't even set. I mean Brooks and Starocci could be Olympic Redshirting, Mesenbrink/Haines hasn't shaken out, and Nagao hasn't even committed.

Can I take a rain check for the week before the PSU vs Iowa dual (assuming there will be one scheduled this year)? I'm not even certain of that.

Also, other posters are for strict adherence to thread topic titles. A one man battle to bring order to the swirling Cesspool.

Howard was I believe a higher ranked recruit than Drake. Given his injury situation and my expectations for Drake I expect Drake to win but it's not like Howard is on the same level as Steen.

I am admittedly as big a HAWK homer as anyone. That being said, I am not as high on Drake as many others. Some have him as winning it next year. I have him as a mid range AA although I would not rule out he could possible win it.

Howierd is more likely to wind up in sickbay then NCAA!

I appreciate rabid fandom or homertastic takes as much as the next person. And I'd even go to say it's premature to stake the position that Iowa has no shot.

That said, given current committed wrestlers, I can also agree with poster takes that Iowa would have a steep road to climb to become 2023-24 NCAA Wrestling Champions.

Nobody should expect they are going to see the grade ahead and stop moving forward. Similarly, nobody should expect doubters' comments on this board will deter them in the least.

Can only wrestle 10 guys, but they have played games here to by deferring enrollment, grey shirt, red shirt etc... As long as you are not paying, stay in school, who cares!?!?!?

Don't have to warn me to step away from the cliff. I'm already on the way down into hell!!!! Breaking stuff does help some!

Chill tf out dude! Teske can beat Nagao of he hits the weights and puts on some muscle this off season...he got over powered multiple times this year moving up to 33. The match this year will be close.

Willie mentioned a week or so back that we need to make hay in the loaded '25 class since the f** bunch will basically be full....enjoy the grind and chase..👍

I've talked to several high school wrestlers in Iowa and the reputation Iowa seems to have amongst them is injuries and coming up short. These are in-state kids who think this, so I'm sure the national perception is the same or worse. Now add into it negative recruiting from other schools when it comes to the top talents, and I think it's a big reason we have to take risks with the Ferraris and not land more of the "sure things". The only thing that will make this turn around is winning big consistently to rebuild the Iowa brand. It can be done, but it won't happen overnight.
