Iowa State loses again

Ya, good idea, but tried that before. When ISU wins (10 of last 21), Iowa collective wisdom says it was our super bowl, took all american efforts by ISU, Iowa came out flat, ISU would not win at Kinnick, bad ref calls, and you're lucky you played us early in the year as Iowa would win at at end of year. Have I got that right? :)

Have you got that right? You are the one on our board making repetitive troll posts all butthurt because you lost again. 10 out of 21...are you coming here to bag on something somebody said years ago. Your constant crying is old and boring...you lost, get over it. Spend the rest of your week getting all your excuses you will need on Sunday rather than the same repetitive posts you keep making. I'd say I have that right.

When their battlecry is "We're almost as good as you!" it's a good indicator of relative program quality, reputation, standards, and expectations.

Wrong as that battlecry may be. Too funny.

But Gonzo it is our Super Bowl. We spend all offseason preparing for ISU. Cmon, you know that. Kirk would much rather beat ISU than Wisconsin. The ISU game means more to Iowa than all the Big 10 games combined which is why they are our sole focus 365 a year. Get with the program and trust the process and sound the sirens cause a storm is brewing.

Glad to see that you had to come defend ISU immediately.

I actually thought Iowa St. was going to take another step forward but I am not sure that is going to happen. I know you made fun of our weak schedule but you play Baylor, Kansas and Kansas St. in the league with perpetual weak defense. Iowa will play Nebraska and Illinois for not great teams... maybe you throw Northwestern and Purdue in because of record but they are not bad squads. Purdue is 3 self destructions from possibly being undefeated.
And of course Knebby would be undefeated except for the lightening.

Not true as our OU performance was plenty good enough to beat Iowa.

If the Oklahoma D had any ability or inclination to tackle in that game, you may not have scored against them at all.

Your AD gamed the system allowing your "suspended" players to play against Iowa and you still couldn't get the job done. Do yourself a favor and blow smoke up your ass somewhere else.

10 out of 21 is really 10/36, don't you know.

Oklahoma's D is garbage. They gave up 27 to ISU and 33 to Baylor, both horrible offenses.

So why don't you use your 1976 name here?

Now that I think about it, you're right. I can occasionally get CyTwins to have a reasonable discussion, but 1976 sticks to the talking points no matter what.

Edit: it's definitely CyTwins. Went back for the first time in a few weeks and saw this: "1-3 while being favored in 1 game, would be 3-2 if it wasn't for lightning". Sound familiar?

Based on defensive efficiency. Here are the rankings for defensive efficiency so far this year from ESPN: As you can see, Wisconsin's defense has taken a big step back this year so far. Which is why it is too early to write off Iowa's chances of winning the West because Wisconsin is vulnerable this year.

14. Iowa
30. Penn State
33. ISU
34. NIU
37. Northwestern
41. Minnesota
50. Maryland
60. Indiana
61. Wisconsin
75. Purdue
103. Nebraska
107. Illinois
Just seems a little early to be throwing out defensive efficiency. I'm guessing if someone forced you to pick a defense for the rest of the year, you wouldn't be picking ISU or NIU over Wisconsin's.

HAHAHAHA, good research. What a douche. Wonder what this guy looks like.

Not unlike schedule strength, the phrase "sample size" comes to mind. Not that many people understand that concept any more.
