Iowa v Ky (2005) on BTN

I saw us vs Kentucky and couldn't remember beating them for a second. Then I saw Rondo and remember Freeman strips him to seal the win. They just showed Rondo brick a 3 and said "he's working on that shot". 15 years later and he's running out of time to get any better.

I can't remember this game at all either

Reason why you probably can't is that I remember was it was on ESPN or ESPN 2 and back before they'd air the game on another channel like ESPN news or U if the previous game went over the scheduled time. The mid week MAC football game went to multiple OTs and basically missed the majority of the 1st half. I just remember how pissed off I was and trying to follow some crappy link of updates in the game on ESPN's website.

The infamous Rondo "big hands" game!

I remember he got like 19 boards or something, but Mikey and Freeman kept him from scoring much.

Miami (OH) beat Ohio that night, 38-7 and that game was on ESPNU.

And the football game started at 6:30 CT while the hoops game was slated for 8:00 PM CST.

I literally have no recollection of this.

Yeah, don't recall this game either, except hearing about it after.
Might have been on Friday night, when I was a sonny boy's football games.

Fun one to watch, with Eric Hansen, pasting some Spalding on foreheads of UK players. Mike Henderson was a very tough guard.

It was on a Monday night.

I also do not remember this one at all. Horner and Haluska combine to go 3-19 from the field and the Hawks still manage to win....and against Kentucky of all teams. Amazing!

I, as well, didn't have this one in my memory, but watched this airing.

Great game. Hawks pretty much exchanged blow for blow with Wildcats the full 40 minutes and came out on top. As mentioned, think if Horner/Haluska actually made anything. And as mentioned, shot blocking (Hansen) is always great. Not to mention rim play (Thomas).

Also as mentioned, Mike Henderson was a very solid basketball player. Had two huge steals, a bucket, rebound, and free throw in the last two minutes. And started the game with some competitive confidence as well. Henderson is easily one of the most underrated Hawks of all time. Would take him on my team every year.

And don't get it twisted, Alford/Neal were running some very nice stuff in the half-court that season. Too bad that team couldn't keep NW St. out of the paint that 2nd half in the dance that season. This team poured their heart out as Hawks, had great chemistry, and a lot of pieces
