Full starting lineup Confirmed, just kidding or am I. Go HawksSame lineup as we’ve seen or will any of the missing “starters” return (125, 149, 174, 197)?
Are they really starters? Or did they get beat out fair and square? LolSame lineup as we’ve seen or will any of the missing “starters” return (125, 149, 174, 197)?
I don't know, but what I do know is Tom Brands said "we're going to Ames, IA next" 5 or 6 times in his last presser.Same lineup as we’ve seen or will any of the missing “starters” return (125, 149, 174, 197)?
I expect to see Murin, Kem, and Warner. Just a prediction, but I think Kem was close to being back last meet. Warner and Murin is more wishful thinking for me.Same lineup as we’ve seen or will any of the missing “starters” return (125, 149, 174, 197)
How does everyone see this meet playing out?
If the Hawks sit 2 or 3 starters and the Clones win 3 or 4 matches, ISU will tout how Dresser has brought the program to the cusp of threatening for a trophy.
Still mystified how 141/149 shakes out for them? Dresser scheduled a dual in Montana as a tribute to Degen and there's a chance he loses his spot to Parker? WTF.
2022.when do we start worrying about murin?
If he wrestles like he did against Princeton's Monday I see it being at least that bad. Never know what he's going to bring, both good and bad. He needs to bring some offense...Carr will at least win by a major.
Carr whopped big time the Army guy whereas Young struggled for the win.If he wrestles like he did against Princeton's Monday I see it being at least that bad. Never know what he's going to bring, both good and bad. He needs to bring some offense...
Not saying young wins but different styles make different matches!!Carr whopped big time the Army guy whereas Young struggled for the win.
Great opportunity for Wilson to Go out a take the spot. GO WILSON!IF we don’t see our full lineup of the normal guys this could be a 6-4/5-5 type deal.
125: 0-3 with no Spencer
133: 5-3
141: 9-3
149: 9-7 with no Murin
157: 9-10
165: 15-10
174: 19-10 with Nelson if it’s Kem probably a tech
184: 22-10 with Wilson
197: 22-13 with Glazier
Hwt: 28-13
Could lose 184 with Wilson as well.
Who are you quoting?I'd prefer to see Turk get a start at 49--oh, but I forgot, Siebrecht is the "best at the weight."
We’re pretty sure by now of what he’s going to bring. If he wrestles like he did against Princeton's Monday I see it being at least that bad. Never know what he's going to bring, both good and bad. He needs to bring some offense...
Are there really reasons to fill a weight with a guy who has probably peaked when there are kids on the team who would benefit, in the long run from mat time?I'd prefer to see Turk get a start at 49--oh, but I forgot, Siebrecht is the "best at the weight."
If he looks anything like the last match then then we have seen all we need to in a starting roll for this year. He wasn't competitive vs a guy barely inside the top 20.We’re pretty sure by now of what he’s going to bring.

Turk had five years to figure things out. Maybe give the new kid at least five matches? Lol
I don't think anybody was planning on seeing Cobe Siebrecht wrestling in Carver this year, or maybe ever and he's gotten 2 opportunities, which is great for him. He's apparently coming in and busting his ass and the Coaches like him so he got rewarded. The only comparison we have is at Luther where Siebrecht beat Rumph 6-4 and Turk majored him 12-1. That's a big difference in a small sample size. We’re pretty sure by now of what he’s going to bring.

The "long run" likely includes Reyna or possibly Rathjen at 149, both of whom are higher level recruits coming into the program by a wide margin. So unless Siebrecht improves by leaps and bounds he's the future backup and he very likely knew that coming in, and Turk is a pretty proven commodity. This is a no-brainer if your plan is to win as many DI matches in duals as you can,
We need to win duals and prep for next year. If our real goal was to win every match of every dual, we would have replaced a long time starter or two years back.I don't think anybody was planning on seeing Cobe Siebrecht wrestling in Carver this year, or maybe ever and he's gotten 2 opportunities, which is great for him. Cobe has a high ceiling if he gets some man strength, IMO. I wouldn't write him off yet. Why not keep sending him out for these duals that don't mean squat?I don't think anybody was planning on seeing Cobe Siebrecht wrestling in Carver this year, or maybe ever and he's gotten 2 opportunities, which is great for him. Right on…. But are we talking about the guy with anger and alcohol issues who shot a teammate?Cobe has a high ceiling if he gets some man strength, IMO. I wouldn't write him off yet. Why not keep sending him out for these duals that don't mean squat?
Wrestling Turk does nothing for our team's future development, and we've seen plenty of Turk's blast doubles from ten feet away to know what he's bringing to the table. (no offense to Turk, he's a great kid and has been a warrior for our team).
