Iowa vs Neby

nobody cares where you live and I told you before to not call our wrestlers names. I will be in I. c. for bigs, fish

Brands said last night after the Purdue match that Carton is getting the start on Sunday, not Grothus.

If the Huskers can take both, then Barak has to beat Studabaker who just lost to Macintosh 2-1 TB in the dual, (Barak did beat Studabaker 4-2 at Midlands) and it is 15-15, unless a Hawk can score bonus points somewhere in the lower weights.

Both Gilman and Clark will bonus, and Burak will beat Studabaker.

Why would you even care about any type of mania on this board? It still boggles my mind why a non hawk fan would come to an IA board and take jabs.

Last time Gilman-Lambert wrestled it was 1-0 in Lincoln. Dream on with your major dec. You'd be better off hoping that Gilman doesn't get upset.

I think Lambert better hope Gilman does not get upset - it could be a long day of getting taken down and then pinned for Lambert

Come on Willie I know you won't get rid of my whole list but at least take this asshat out to pasture.

Correction: 125: #3 Thomas Gilman (IOWA) by dec. over #9 Tim Lambert (NEB), 2-1 (IOWA 3, NEB 0)

You're right, because Gilman is clearly the same wrestler that he was as a freshman.

Sorry, I thought they would be wrestling folkstyle. Lambert is also the same wrestler that he was as a freshman in the 2-1 loss,

I would bet you money at 10:1 odds that Gilman beats Lambert. It may be close on the scoreboard, because Lambert has his track shoes on against the elite guys but it will be a controlled win at the very least. You are a knowledgeable wrestling guy and you know who's going to win.

lambert is a good wrestler anythings possible, gman is the best 125lber in the nation.

And, after watching Brody last night, might have a match on our hands at 141. Sabatello is no world beater, but not a pushover either, and Brody was all over him.
I agree. After watching Brody against Sabatello, I think he'll win against Abidin. He looked pretty good against a quality opponent in Sabatello, and I think he's got enough in the tank to beat his foe from NE.

jammenz I am sorry for being a dick, far as i'm concerned you have been better at not bashing our guys.

NaTo just handled Lambert in their dual as far as I'm concerned the only wrestler at 125 that truly worries me as an opponent for Tomasello it's Gilman if he can't separate himself from lambert maybe I don't have to worry as much but the way he's looked so far this year I doubt that's the case

Iowa should win convincingly but I think they lose at 141, 157, 165 and one more match out of 174-285. Abidin is very good and getting back into form after a rough start. I am not sure Grothus is ready for a 2weigh in weekend yet and Topher isn't beating him. Nebraska's guys are simply better at 57 and 65. With it being in Nebraska I can't see Iowa sweeping 174-285. Burak is the only clear favorite. Still I am not sure who to pick to not win.

Iowa 19 Nebraska 12
I'll have to respectfully disagree that Burak is the only clear favorite, as Clark will not lose to Montoya. And I'm standing up and saying that Stoll will not lose to Jensen either.

van,

I was saying that Burak was the only clear favorite from 174-285. I absolutely think Clark is a distinct favorite as well as Gilman and Sorenson.

Chief, I'm a Husker fan for the last 15 years in Lincoln.

hawkssox1, I won't be at CHA for the Gophers as I'll be in my lair licking my woulds. But I will be at CHA in March and April.

I see that the Hawkeye fans fight as dirty as their team. The OP posted my score prediction but then conveniently overlooked this nearby post:http://forum.theguillotine.com/topic/9246256/2/#new
Penn State 24-10 over Huskers. Nebraska wrestled soft. I thing I've always admired about Iowa is that they always wrestle hard and with attitude. Even when they are outclassed and can't win they don't quit. Wish I could say the same about the Huskers.

If the Huskers wrestle as soft as they did against PSU it could be a blowout. But if they wrestle as tough as they did against Minny then lookout for the upset.

125-Gillman dec Lambert 3-0. Lambert is painfully boring to watch. Be interesting to see how many stall calls he gets.
133-Clark md Montoya 7-0
141-Abidin Dec Topher. 7-3. Abiding is about as hot and cold as you get. He just smoked Thorn.
149-Sorenson dec suf 10-3
157-Cooper dec Berger 13-3. This is probably the biggest toss up. I wouldn't be surprised either way.
165-Wilson Dec Rhoades. 13-6
174-Meyer Dec Barnes 16-6. It ain't always pretty but he gets it done.
184-Dudley over Brooks. Dudley has nasty counter offense. I think we can get this one though if we're on though. 16-9
197-burak dec studebaker-19-9. No chance
Hwt-Stoll Dec Jensen 22-9

Knocked it out of the park on this one Omaha...who could have predicted the pin at 184. Good on you.

Ha thanks. There wasn't a lot to take away from the dual though.
Cooper is getting better and more confident. He could challenge for AA
Brooks has me worried. As of now I do not think he will AA which kills us. I'll get blasted for this but that's the way it's looking.

I think brooks just dropped 1 spot - but this dudley kid is gonna make noise - actually i don't see anyone beating him if he can stay off the bottom position

Dudley is extremely hard to wrestle. He's great in a front headlock and he's even better when someone is in on him on his butt. I don't put to much stock into his loss to mccutchen. I haven't heard anything but mcc looked to have a serious injury. I won't if he'll be able to come back.

Our guys are going to be "win and advance" "win and advance" type.....I feel we'll bring some fire works in the big tens. This isn't a normal sport, this is a get better, peak sport. I'm pry optimistic but I still feel pretty good about this team. It feels like "enough is enough" type team. We'll see I guess.
