Oklahoma State 11, Iowa 21

Oklahoma State 16, Iowa 21
Kind of nice for Ferrari and Buchanan to take the drama out of the 285.

Kueter needs to make a decision. Gain 30 pounds and wrestle or stay around 230 and play football.
With the bag of $$$ he's getting to wrestle, he's doing both until/if his football career continues because potentially playing professional football has better long term financial gain.

Agree. I just don’t see him being the answer at HWT.
I completely agree. In Ben's defense he's wrestled 3 generational heavies this year but he's been absolutely destroyed and way out of his league. Not competitive in the slightest bit. I think people and fans can expect more out of a $500K a year guy who has freestyle credentials. And the bag he's getting almost drove Ayala to Okie State last off-season because he was criminally underpaid and has proven his worth by actually having results. I hope the best for Ben moving forward, but to expect him to be in the mix to win 3 national titles throughout the remainder of his eligibility would be naive. I hope he proves me wrong.

Great dual--every bit as exciting as I thought.

Ferrari obviously gets the OW, but Caliendo & Buchanan get Honorable Mentions for majoring guys in the top 6 and making up for Parco & Teemer's fails.

WTF Award to Parco for acting like he won the Olympics when his job was to get a major. Did he not get the memo?

WTF Award to Teemer for letting his opponent escape with 1 second left in the period. And also not getting the memo about having to actually wrestle three periods.

WTF Award to the ref for failing to recognize Teemer's Granby TD until the guy was already off his back. And then failing to acknowledge his error on review.

WTF Award to the bench for some of the choices in the second & third periods. I'm blanking, but I think Teemer choosing down and Brands choosing neutral.

Ayala steady and solid against a funky guy.

Cruz, Rhodes, Brands & Kueter just outclassed.

I'm still giving the team an A+ overall for beating a stellar Okie State. We earned that one the hard way.

P.S. I'm going with Kennedy and Arnold for B1Gs. But Ferrari earned the right tonight to do whatever he wants.

There are only 2 guys ranked above him that aren't seniors. 1 of them he beat.
The rest are gone next year. He puts on 15-20 lbs he will be a legit title threat next year.

Everyone is out of their league. Kerk, Gable and Wyatt are monsters.

If he is full time wrestling and can gain the needed size he could improve a lot. I don't think he improves nearly as much playing football still.

Saying somebody with Ben's frame and lean-ness "can't" gain weight might be the most clueless thing you've ever said, which is really an incredible achievement for you.
I'm sure he can gain more weight eventually but as of now he isn't 235 by choice. People keep acting like he is purposely keeping his weight down. So yes as of now he is maxed out. I didn't say he won't ever gain more you knob.

My critiques are more on his lack of elite athleticism to make up for his lack of weight and strength. It’s his second year in the program. The dude gets way more grace and excuses than any guy on the team.
He's a redshirt freshman undersized wrestling heavy.
These guys are like 25 years old.
Once again, 9 of the 11 are gone next year. Of the 2 that don't graduate he beat 1 of then.
Does that not bode well for next year?
