any hypothetical talk about this game is useless right now, both teams have 3 games before meeting and until we all see what Wisconsin and Iowa are after 3 games is all table talk, INJURIES can make the greatest team stink really fast lets hope Iowa and Wisconsin get thru fall practices and Non Conference healthy so they can both be at their best week 4. I want to see Iowa beat a very good Wisconsin team that played well , that said I want to bed the entire stable of Victoria Secret models which I doubt happens . But a guy can dream .
I expect Wisconsin to stop being try hards and let Iowa finally win so that somebody other than Wisconsin can represent the West in the BTCG (and maybe actually beat Ohio State

against the two Wis would’ve beat Oh St by 50. We’ll never know though.
I like our chances with Wisconsin. We were tied with them going to 4Q despite getting 1 first down and not crossing the 50 once. Our defense will be pretty good next year and has a real chance to be even better.
We will not put up as lackluster of a performance on offense against that D. For one - it’s not really like they manhandled us or anything. They did stop the run well - but our main deficiency was simple execution errors. We had a bad day. Next time I expect them to have major trouble with our tight ends and Kinnick to be a real factor.
Wisconsin better find another QB - Hornibrook is a disaster. We had more INT return yards than Wisconsin passing yards last year. I fully expect us to make him our lil B again next year, but look for Amani Hooker this year to do the damage.

Spot on. I believe our WRs will take some pressure off the TEs in this game and they will be more productive. I expect a game that starts as a fistfight and a football game breaks out.
Wisconsin had a 10 point lead and the ball heading into the 4th quarter.
There’s no doubt Hornibrook was a disaster in that game and the game against OSU. He also came up clutch in the second half against Michigan and was nearly perfect against Miami in the Orange Bowl. He was just a sophomore last year. I recall Scott Tolzein having two pick-6’s against OSU and followed it up with a 3 INT performance against Iowa back in 2009. He ended up with only 16 TDs to 11 INTs that year. The next year he came out and won the award for the top senior QB in college football. Sometimes it just takes time for it all to click. We will just have to see how he develops before calling for a change
I think people are way too hard on Hornibrook... all he did is lead a great Wisconsin club to a 13-1 record and like Iowa they nearly dearly sealed the deal with a very hard fought contest with O$U.. they win that I think Wisconsin would go on to at least the National championship game and lose .. but man Hornibrook sure takes a lot of shit and all he does is win damn games ! I would take him in a second.. not over Stanley but the kids a winner! And so was Wisconsin last year and probably 5 straight years before

The same fanbase lambasted Joel Stave for every game of his career for 4 years, all while he became the winningest QB in school history. They're getting spoiled. Someone needs to remind them football existed before Barry Alvarez.

*Its funny how every year a fanbase thinks they have Soooo much coming back that they think they are a lock for a good season and start marking the “W’s”. We all know how those seasons turn out......just sayin, funny how that works out. We’ll see how it works out for them.

Well, when multiple different outlets have them as preseason top 10 I can understand the thinking that they are a lock for a good season.
I hope that you are correct that the Iowa players go into this game with a little extra motivation.
