Those two will probably be on the floor together a lot next year. If Fuerbach can even just slightly increase her 3 pt accuracy and dribbling she will be a strong player. McCabe will be very good if she is the gunslinger she is supposed to be
She has to play more to shoot more. It's really unfair to play a player 2 minutes and expect them if they even get a shot to score.

I don’t see how we win the B1G tourney / beat UConn without Gabbie on the floor playing defense.
I agree with the poster I replied to, just stating a general fact. Gabbie saved us a few times especially when the games were on the line.
Good pt but some say McCabe is a pretty good defender or has the skills. Fuerbach is quick and fast from what I have seen this year so she may not be on a smaller pt guard but could be defending well on the perimeter. Hannah has quick feet and Affolter will get even better.
The new incoming frosh center being ready to plug and play would be great thing.
Money is in the way I think more than anything else. Getting a portal,it would help tremendously if there is some kind of connection to Iowa.

They just need some playing time. I believe by half way through the season they will be looking damn good.
I feel pretty bad for Oregon State and what is happening to their program right now.
Everyone has been saying the woman's game got more interesting because there was more continuity. Think that continuity thing is out the window. Now you are recruiting players out of high school, but also telling them to give you a call down the road if things aren't working out.

Sources confirmed to LSU Country on Thursday that LSU is making their push in this one alongside a handful of powerhouse programs including Iowa and Stanford, among several others.
Iowa remains a team to beat here, but LSU will certainly put up a fight in this one for the top player in the portal.

I think Guyton, Heiden and Mallegni are the only ones we should expect to be able to contribute as freshman. Guyton of course with the injury likely doesn't even see the floor now IMO but if she was healthy, Bluder wouldn't even be looking for a PG in the portal IMO.
Well, I think we know that Clark, Marshall, and Fuehrbach are straight…so we got that going for us. 😉

Not sure after seeing how HVL was utilized at LSU why Olsen would think that’s an attractive landing spot. Other than knowing their women’s program has huge NIL funding

And she will play 3 years alongside a Top 12 wing that espn described as one of the most versatile players in the country!

Man, in the post season I really dreading seeing Kylie come in. I don't know if the pressure was too much or what but she was absolutely horrible on offense, and I've always liked Kylie. I hope she gains confidence, ball handling and shooting in the off season because she's athletic enough to be a very good player
Her ball handling struggled against elite level defenders once we got past the first round. Not a PG at all. She’s a good player, but ball handling against pressure defense is a weak point.
I always thought Kylie was a pretty good 3 pt shooter, but she seemed to struggle this year. Maybe 300 shots every day and lots of ball handling drills can help her next year.

I am a big Kalie fan also. I know what you mean about her late tournament play. I think the moment was too big for her... meaning the competition from the late tournament competition was too great. She will learn from this experience and come back a better player.

Bluder doesn't prefer to start freshmen, esp at PG, but if she doesn't land one in the portal, my guess is Stremlow is the starter. And the #2 PG if she does land someone. Either way, we'll see Stremlow on the floor quite a bit if only because she's the only other healthy body. I know Bluder experimented with McCabe at point, but it didn't seem to go anywhere.

I don’t think Stremlow will be ready for primetime as a freshman. I think the only option (sans portal) is Affolter sliding to the 1. Which is not a good option either. McCabe at the 1 is much worse an option.
decision making was an issue, just out of control. I think with a little more consistent time the game might slow down for her though.

It’s flabbergasting to me that there are fans who get worked up about people who bring millions of dollars into an organization getting paid for their labor.
I agree, I have no problem with them getting paid. What will become boring for me is if transfers all load into a couple top schools. Someone else mentioned how beneficial parity is in coming into the women’s game. If the top transfers are just heading to UConn, LSU, etc., while I understand them getting paid, the end result lowers the entertainment of the game.
Right, none of the options are ideal, But ready or not, it could happen. Plus, after watching quite a bit of film on her, I think Stremlow has a lot of the right skills. I know Mallegni gushes over her. But maybe I'm just being pessimistic about landing that PG, lol.
I think that's the issue. When it just comes down to who has the most money, the game really loses some of its luster, and the identity of college hoops. Then we're back to a few blueblood schools, or greenblood in this case.

The organization they’re bringing the millions in for, isn’t the 1 paying them. I don’t disagree with them being able to make money off their NIL, but that ain’t what’s happening.
