Is the GOP a Cult?

They can't understand their grade school children's math homework yet they are instant experts in every complex problem

No...they have the “Woke / MeToo/ cancel everyone/ BelieveAllWomen (when convenient)” ideology that got one of their own best Senators removed for something dumb and minor he did while being a comedian on a USO tour. Dating all the way back to the horrible “Binders full of women offense of 2012”. Who could forget that frightening occurrence?
During his debate with Obama, Governor Romney cited Russia as possibly the biggest threat to world stability. Senator Obama mocked him roundly. He mocked the governor for reliving the Cold War.

This might be President Biden's problem today. He has also forgotten all about the Cold War. Certainly, Obama and he never addressed the threat when they held the POTUS and VPOTUS slots a few years back

They had by the time they ran for office forgotten the "Cult of the Cold War."

That was an interesting exchange. But stupid.

Libertarians are supposed to favor open borders. How many do?

Socialism is supposed to encourage solidarity across borders? But is that true in the real world?

East Germany was a police state. Hardly socialism.

The USSR was an authoritarian communist state. Hardly socialism.

The Soviet Union no longer exists, so what's the relevance to today?

Trump can lie about something and 75% of Republicans believe him just because he said it. That's why we saw what we did on January 6th.
I know you're just pulling stuff out of your ass, but you shouldn't use percentage and math when doing so. It looks silly.

The majority of Republicans don't want him to run for President again. I will admit way more still support him than should, but most don't.

Yet the posters on HROT that are damn near suicidal and obviously have their self worth tied to a political party are democrats.

they also have zero friends and their own families can’t stand them.

The vast majority of Republicans in leadership positions have bent the knee to Trump. They won't go against him. The vast, vast majority of people who voted for Trump in 2020 will vote for him again in 2024. He's your party. It's completely obvious. You may not want him to run, but almost every single person who voted for him in 2020 will vote for that conman again if he does.

One of several ways to identify GrOuPies and this has been true throughout the ages - they absolutely lose their minds if even slightly inconvenienced. Look at most of their big grievances over the past two years and always at the root "don't inconvenience me." Yes, others could die but "don't inconvenience me."

Next Up at CCCPAC:

Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz pass resolution for naming Eastern European cities and railroads:

  • Cisylvania (Romania)
  • Cisnistria (Moldavia)
  • Cis-Siberian Railroad (Siberia, or Cisiberia, just for kicks)
