Jimmy Sullivan - 3 star QB landed

Accepting a 3 Star QB commit with a 54 % completion rate before we hire an OC. Perfect! Should be a success with our track record.
the best qb in the last decade at iowa was cjb who arrived with 54% completion rate in HS.

So the clones get the #34 rated QB in the country recruited by Minnesota, K State, Pitt, Texas A&M, Wisconsin, Mizzou and Nebraska and we get a kid who hit 54% of his passes and was recruited by Akron, Ball State, Central Michigan and Illinois.
Is that special

Good speed and elusiveness on the runs, really hope TL is able to elevate Iowa's offense to include much more of his RPO.

Fingers crossed.

This really pisses me off! KF and company are almost the anti-Christ of offense!!

Rocco is there for 3 more years. They have a 4* sitting on the bench. It will be 5 years before this Manske kid sees the field. ISU quarterbacks seem to put up good numbers in the BIG 12. (shit their pants against Iowa) Brock?
Most QB's shit their pants vs Iowa. And then you have the guy from Tennessee.

🤦🏻‍♂️ really? Now our position is rating services don’t know as much as KF and company do when it comes to offensive capabilities? You can’t’ make this crap up! Lol
According to some folks on this board nobody in the universe knows as much about any aspect of football than Ferentz.

Hell there was a rumor that their golden boy Kohl was looking to leave the program,

Can confirm. The amount of NIL invested in Becht to keep him in Ames was the "writing on the wall" for Kohl and his family. Short of a season-ending injury, Kohl has no chance to be ISU's starting QB next year.

Maybe he'll be smart enough to enter the portal in the spring and be the back up to Cade... and pretty good chance that you'll get playing time since he hasn't been healthy for over 2 years now. Then him & marco can fight it out for the starter in 2025

Considering Iowa had Ty Thompson rumored to be in for a visit, and Malachi Nelson from USC ended up at BSU, Iowa can do better.

You think Kohl leaves after spring ball?

Let’s review our recent QB recruits.
HS recruits
Hogan
Padilla
Mansell
Lainez
Labas

None saw any significant playing time behind talent like Petras & Hill.
Clearly Ferentz & staff have no ability to identify or develop QB talent.

Put Deuce in!

You made it seem like boy Mankse guy was some huge get for ISU over Iowa. When the odds were always stacked that way to begin with.
Whut? I think you should read this thread again. If me posting that Manske committed indicated that, I think you are reading too much into it.

It is the Brock Purdy effect. ISU likes to sling the ball around and sometimes they have to which can lead to gaudy passing stats. But besides Purdy most all of there starting QBs of the last 15-20 years were average, I would say CJB and Nate Stanley were two pretty darn good qbs and better than most ISU qbs.

I am glad everyone here thinks they're division 1 scouts haha. Who cares what his highschool stats are. That clearly hasn't been the best indication of college success in iowa's past.

I watched every game in which Nate QB’d for us
(Like the majority here did) and he was only good by our standards as Iowa football fans.

He was a giant statue that threw for a nice amount of touchdowns but overthrew even more wide open receivers. Little ability to use the legs. Never eclipsed the 60% completion rate.

One of these is Nate Stanley and one is another popular Iowa QB from the past (career stats):

QB1

Yardage: 8,297 yards passing; 58.3 % completion; 68 TDs; 23 INTs; 7.2 Y/A.

QB2

Yardage: 7,377 yards passing; 59.8% completion; 56 TDs; 31 INTs; 8.1 Y/A.

Do you understand what the word “alphabetical” means?
Yep, I just randomly grabbed the first ones listed. Looking at the entire list there's still a clear difference in the level of their offers. Who knows...Sullivan may be the second coming of Ricky Stanzi and Manske may flame out.

How about
QB3

5562 yards passing, 58.1% completion, 40 TD; 19 INT's; 7.1 Y/A

And this guy is still in the NFL and highly regarded compared to QB1

OK, fellas. Who are they? I'm guessing QB2 is Stanzi due to the INTs. QB3 must be CJ (still in the NFL)
