Inside sources tell me that McKenna is leaning towards Penn St
At this point, flip a coin. I heard tOSU first, then PSU.

Bob Preusse say it's Ohio State over on their board. I'm going with him..Inside sources tell me that McKenna is leaning towards Penn St
Yeah - he's the antithesis of a troll.Bob Preusse say it's Ohio State over on their board. I'm going with him..
Come on....you know the rules!

I honestly don't see it as an ultimatum. It's likely that Pollard asked what would make him stay, and he replied that only a head coaching position would make him stay. Doesn't make him a bad guy. We'd all answer the same way and make the same decision. Likewise, leaving three years later doesn't make him an ungrateful cretin either. We'd all do it if given the chance.
Maybe PSU now has extra $ with Suriano to Rutgers!!!!!!!!!At this point, flip a coin. I heard tOSU first, then PSU.

I hope sometime in your life you have the honor of hearing Gable speak. I can promise you that you'll hear about Bob Siddens at West High, Harold Nichols at ISU, and Gary Kurdelmeier at Iowa. You'll notice how much respect and credit Gable gives all the people who tried to help him.
That's the difference, seems Cael goes out of his way to burn the bridge with all those who've helped him get where he is. Listen to Gable it's about all the other people, listen to Cael it's about Cael.
Yeah he seemed like a visionary. A person who said, lets do things differently and see what happens.Look at what GK did and one can't help but respect him.

Ouch - I'm glad it's good for us but not wishing ill on any of these guys.I truly hope this is true. Bravo-Young and Nick Lee should both be pissed. One or both will leave. I hope Suriano stays and outgrows 125, that would screw Teasdale also.
Is that confirmed? I haven't been reviewing the threads lately.Maybe PSU now has extra $ with Suriano to Rutgers!!!!!!!!!

No...Ed is having fun with some of our PSU friends.
Actually, he got hurt at National Duals. He never wrestled after that as he wasn't ready. He didn't cost anyone anything.Carl shouldn't have tried forcing him to be ready by National Duals. Handled the injury poorly and cost the kid his post season.
Edited meant Big Tens. We can all agree if he leaves it was due to the injury or poor coaching of Nico and the lightweights.Actually, he got hurt at National Duals. He never wrestled after that as he wasn't ready. He didn't cost anyone anything.
Suriano isn't transferring to IowaCarl shouldn't have tried forcing him to be ready by Big Tens. Handled the injury poorly and cost the kid his post season. Carl also appears to have ruined Nico. It makes the most sense for Suriano to redshirt in IC before stepping in at 133 with Spencer. He would get much better coaching and be a 3x champ. Plus he would be with coaches who his best interests first.
If you understand this then why the wishful thinking post that won't happen? No shit?
10x as much at PSU... is that accurate? Source?
I agree with LutherAce. I can see where Douglas, his wife or ISU wrestling fans would feel bitter.
Cael said, give me the head coach job (i.e. fire Douglas) or I'll leave. He got his desired head coaching job (at his alma mater, no less) and then left anyway after 3 years.
Loyalty doesn't carry much weight with Cael.
Look over your headIf you understand this then why the wishful thinking post that won't happen?
I ran into Gable a couple of weeks ago and in our brief conversation, he mentioned how Gary Kurdelmeier was a wonderful promoter of the sport. He hired the guy that he knew would replace him...takes a big man who loves his school to do that.
In Nico's defense, he was really tired from helping Cael carry around all those damn Championship Trophies.Edited meant Big Tens. We can all agree if he leaves it was due to the injury or poor coaching of Nico and the lightweights.
Nico should move to IC to work out with Delgado, Mcdonough, Dennis, Clark, Lee and Suriano, if he wants to improve. In Nico's defense, he was really tired from helping Cael carry around all those damn Championship Trophies.
I like Nico right where he is...Nico should move to IC to work out with Delgado, Mcdonough, Dennis, Clark, Lee and Suriano, if he wants to improve.![]()
It takes the whole team to carry around Iowa's.In Nico's defense, he was really tired from helping Cael carry around all those damn Championship Trophies.
You'd have to call in the JV team from Ames for help to carry all those trophies. It takes the whole team to carry around Iowa's.![]()

Fair point. Are all of Iowa's trophies on display? That would be quite the large trophy case.
If you understand this then why the wishful thinking post that won't happen?
So you're saying without an exemption bring granted, Suriano still gets to keep all 3 of his remaining years of competive eligibility?Funny that some of the dim witted PSU faithful think Suriano can't red shirt next year and have 3 years left to compete at any school he so chooses... Its like they're magically changing the NCAA rules to fit their narrative.

I think you are mistaken on ed's loyalty. Thanks for coming to our board to set us straight...lol
What possesses people to post some of the crap they do I will never know...
