Joey McKenna Transferring possibility

I'm on a 2 hour I drive home after being out on the road all day. So I decided to read this entire thread. I love it.

@SPOONER is correct.

I wish McKenna would end up at Iowa but doesn't sound like that's going to be the case.

I honestly don't see it as an ultimatum. It's likely that Pollard asked what would make him stay, and he replied that only a head coaching position would make him stay. Doesn't make him a bad guy. We'd all answer the same way and make the same decision. Likewise, leaving three years later doesn't make him an ungrateful cretin either. We'd all do it if given the chance.

Even the Russian judges would score this a 10 in mental gymnastics.

I hope sometime in your life you have the honor of hearing Gable speak. I can promise you that you'll hear about Bob Siddens at West High, Harold Nichols at ISU, and Gary Kurdelmeier at Iowa. You'll notice how much respect and credit Gable gives all the people who tried to help him.

That's the difference, seems Cael goes out of his way to burn the bridge with all those who've helped him get where he is. Listen to Gable it's about all the other people, listen to Cael it's about Cael.

Look at what GK did and one can't help but respect him.

Carl may have tried forcing him to be ready by Big Tens. Handled the injury poorly and cost the kid his post season? Carl also appears to have ruined Nico. It makes the most sense for Suriano to redshirt in IC before stepping in at 133 with Spencer. He would get much better coaching and be a 3x champ. Plus he would be with coaches who his best interests first.

Suriano isn't transferring to Iowa

10x as much at PSU... is that accurate? Source?

I agree with LutherAce. I can see where Douglas, his wife or ISU wrestling fans would feel bitter.

Cael said, give me the head coach job (i.e. fire Douglas) or I'll leave. He got his desired head coaching job (at his alma mater, no less) and then left anyway after 3 years.

Loyalty doesn't carry much weight with Cael.

And took his recruiting class with him for good measure.

Here's the short form paperwork Suriano must provide to Cael for the Rutgers transfer -

In Nico's defense, he was really tired from helping Cael carry around all those damn Championship Trophies.
Nico should move to IC to work out with Delgado, Mcdonough, Dennis, Clark, Lee and Suriano, if he wants to improve. :)

Funny that some of the dim witted PSU faithful think Suriano can't red shirt next year and have 3 years left to compete at any school he so chooses... Its like they're magically changing the NCAA rules to fit their narrative.

That tOSU insider is doubling down on his McKenna to the Buckeyes prediction. He reposted his previous post in response to someone raising the possibility that VT was in play.

So you're saying without an exemption bring granted, Suriano still gets to keep all 3 of his remaining years of competive eligibility?
