Joined a gym and starting a diet. Anyone up for a weight loss challenge?

I guess that's better than being known as the tuna fish can....

I haven't eaten much in the last two days. Weight has been a bit up and down in the low 200s (already have lost 17 lbs leading up to this challenge so at a net loss). I weighed in at 200.4 this am. I told my wife watch this...I'll be in the 190s for the first time in at least 5 years. Went to the bathroom to take a leak. Weighed 200.1....guess the 190s will have to wait.

You only need .2 pounds. Stab the inside of your nose and bleed the last 3 ounces out

Jerk it bro. I dont know about you but that's the easiest way for me to lose about 8 oz.

Not as good as I would have liked, but it included a full day of tailgating so it could have been worse.

I was 230.2 after getting down to 229. This also included a full day of tailgating saturday and an office pizza party friday for someone leaving. Next week will be better.

I expect crickets to chirp heading into the holiday season but here goes. I half-heartedly started a diet before but wasn't committed. I never worked out. We just joined a gym and I am starting out with cardio only until I hit my target weight, which is 185. I weighed in at 231.5 this morning, so I'm going for a 20% reduction in weight. Anyone else in the throes of starting a program that wants to see who can lose 20% first? Maybe post results on a weekly basis.

I’d like to point out that all poster that call me a fat ass, etc...I weigh less than all but two of the dudes on here.

Getting a two week jump on Thanksgiving is pretty huge for me. I know how I operate. I would have said I would start after Thanksgiving which would have turned into after New Years.

To your point, the chief justice of the Iowa Supreme Court died from a heart attack while walking his dog. He was 66 and looked very fit. He certainly appeared to be mild-mannered, civil, and a very good well-adjusted person. He is the last 66-year old I would have expected to die from a heart attack. Enjoy every day indeed.

My mother (not the stepmother that has been at Mayo Clinic) wasn't feeling well last week, thought she was having an anxiety attack so she went in to the ER. They ended up doing surgery and putting in two stints because she had a 100% blockage and another 80% blockage. She's 75 years old and all she does is drink, smoke cigarettes and sit on her behind. She doesn't understand why she has so much trouble getting around. My dad was the same way before he died five years ago.

So, no official weigh-in day of the week? I figured mine would be tomorrow since I joined last Wednesday, but if you want to say, "We all report on Monday", I'm fine with that too.

Maybe we can all convert to Monday as it goes on...
 
I weigh basically daily so I can report in either pounds lost or percentage lost. Just let me know. I'm not telling you all my weight, :p It's bad enough to admit that I am fat.
Each week just give us your cumulative percent lost from the original weigh in.
