This name is very familar... I wonder who first mentioned this kid's name on this board back in early April...... Answer: Me (The HawkeyeDudeAbides). Surprising. CanadaHawk....The kid's weight is listed at 185 not 216. Rivals has Jordan as 6'3" 210.
I was mentioning Jordan after watch the Illinois HS 3A playoffs as he lead his HS team to 2nd place finish , beating Morgan Park's Marcus LoVett and Charlie Moore team but losing to St. Joseph's club by 5 whether STJ had 2 D-1 bound guards (Jordan Ash (Neb) and Glynn Watson (Northwestern)) and junior big but thin Nic (the Stick) Rakocevic.
I was crucified by those haters when I said I preferred Ivanauskas Rapolas over Nic because Rap could shoot better and had more vertical game. Anyone see how much Rakocevic status as a prospect has fallen this last year. Rak looks like a project who needs to gain 30 pounds of muscle. Redshirt material.
I was promoting Jordan as a very talented player who cannot be allowed to play PG on his high school team due to his height relative to his other teammates but he is the main guy with the ball at crunch time. And do not believe the hype about Illinannoy's offer. Frank Williams's son DaMonte Williams is also a 2017 combo guard who will get the legacy vote to become an Illini commit. Jordan will look around. Yes, He is friends with Tyler Cook. Read Joe Hendrickson's Sun Times material about Jordan's ranking in the state.Jordan could develop into a Marcus Smart like PG if his ball handling and shot consistency improves.
The NBA is seeking bigger PGs (6'3"/200+) for the physical spot up game. J-Good and Christian Negron (who will likely be 6'8" next year I'm told) with ConMac (who should not use up a scholarship even though he's earned it) would leave a ride for a Theo John or Derek Culver.
