Kamala’s lead keeps dwindling. JFC this is pitiful.

It’s over. It has been pointed out if she isn’t leading by 3-4 in national polls it is isn’t good for her. Hillary was in better position and lost. Biden was up by 4. Ding dong.
I continue to believe that Harris wins this, by virtue of winning Pennsylvania.

Re: the electoral college, as I've noted previously, these are the rules by which we govern ourselves, so whining rather than playing by them is basically an 18 month old without their binky. While I have no problem with trying to change them through the requisite constitutional processes, the principles underlying the EC remain sound. I kinda like the NE/ME approach as a happy medium in terms of the incentives the more I think about it.

I often see it said that the EC results in "6 or 7 states deciding the election." While the mathematical principle underlying that "point" is dubious, I wondered what things would look like if we accepted that principle and then applied it in the context of a popular vote. So for shits and giggles, I took a look at recent vote margins by state. Funnily enough, what you find is that 49 jurisdictions basically net out against one another (in 2020, to within an extraordinarily small 37,484 votes for the bottom 41 EV jurisdictions, and then within about 100,000 over 8 of the top ten EV states, for a net of about only 60,000 over 49 jurisdictions!), and two jurisdictions basically create Dmargins (as you might expect, CA and NY). (FWIW, the 2016 story is similar, though less dramatic, with a slightly smaller D margin from the 2 (6MM), and a slightly larger R margin in the other 49 (1.2M)

So again, the whole principle is stupid, but if "candidate focus" is your thing, the popular vote ain't really the solution.

"Reportedly". Are you going to deny that Trump wears adult diapers?
It's possible I suppose, bro is pretty old. The source had obvious TDS and kind of ranted like a lunatic tbh. I believe him about as much as I believe that story about touchdown Timmy getting freaky with a 14 year old.

What’s your take on this Tom Paris? Oh let me see their baby rapers too right.?😂
I think Tom might unironically be the worst poster on this forum irl. One time he admitted to having inappropriate conversations with the kids he teaches that he knew would piss off their parents. This is a direct quote, something he admitted to strangers on the internet (boastfully). I don't think he should be allowed anywhere near vulnerable kids with this in mind but he's super proud of it apparently. The unbelievable state of government schools in 2024. Thankfully school choice will fix this.

Honestly, WTF is with you guys...

You don't see a problem with a teacher saying they're having conversations they know are inappropriate with the kids they teach? Those are his own words. Not mine.
No, call me crazy, but i just don't see a point in mindless online attacks or namecalling at people you don't actually know based on events you're not personally familiar with.

I judged him based on his own words, which I repeated. Anyone can make their own judgement based off that. You saying it's not big deal is telling about you too btw. I legitimately don't care if that bothers you either (I doubt it does since you're ok with inappropriate convos with kids)

Sure thing Harvard.

You are half right, which is more than usual. The inclusion part is spot on, but for everyone, from the founding of the country. States elect the POTUS and VPOTUS. States used to select their US Senators too. Without such a plan, a handful of states would rule the entire country.
E duobus unum.

That’s not what a direct quote looks/reads like. 😂
