I think it’s more about Harris inching ahead in the polls. He HAS to debate her now.
If he still had his Biden lead of a couple weeks ago he’d hold out for Fox.
He publicly said today that three debates were suggested by him. Fox, NBC and ABC. Fox is first in line. Will Kamala accept or chicken out?
I think Kamala will be quicker on her feet than Biden and be able to fact check Trump in real time. She will call him out on many of his lies.
He says a lot of things that are not true. And commits fraud. Not a trustworthy guy with character.
Yup, Trump will undoubtedly bring up the "Democrats want to kill babies after they have been born" rant and nobody will say a thing about it.
The rapist has no choice. Harris is soundly beating him in the polls, crowd sizes, money raised, and energy. Dons gotta do something to claw his way back into this thing.
It's not just that. He says a lot of absurd shit, constantly, without thinking. And then the hosts just kind of nod their heads like "yeah they do kill babies, don't they?"

I feel it is Kamala’s job to fact check him. Shouldn’t be hard though. If he opens his mouth he is probably lying.
It shouldn't be her job, though. The more time she has to spend fact checking him and argue whether he's lying or not is less time she can use to talk about dem policy.

I disagree in a debate, but that’s just a preference thing. I want to see a candidate be able to take down their opponent, not the journalist. The moderators should frame questions, keep them on topic and keep time.
I am quite confident that Kamala’s litigation skills will be on full display.

I agree if both candidates are actually going to go at each other, but we've seen how Trump "debates."
