Guessing how the convo went on setting this SOTU "response" speech went down:
"Let's put her with a bookshelf/library background, to add cred that she looks smart"
"No; we don't like books and libraries, man. Plus, can't have her looking too smart or uppity. Our voters don't like uppity/smart women"
"Well, I guess we could have her give the speech from a kitchen..."
"PERFECT!!! EXACTLY where our voters expect to see their women!!!"
"Laugh at it at your own risk. The voters will have their say in November,"

After reflecting on her performance last night, I found a word to describe it…”cringe-worthy”.

To be honest, it's definitely the best thing to come from that state.
I had to go and look at some clips, and it definitely reminded me of a someone giving her testimonial up on the stage of some mega-church.
This is the same senator that worked with Senator Lankford on the bipartisan immigration bill. That was a good thing. Then what happened to that bill? That's right, trump jumped in there to destroy it and guess what, the simpleton voted against it. Just another big mouth republican with no backbone, no guts or no integrity.

I watched a bit of the Britt's response, disregarding that her content was inaccurate and frankly laughable, the thing that stuck with me was her weird, breathy delivery that was littered with strange pauses and just the generally overdramatic HS level acting that she seemed to employ, along with the constantly shifting facial expressions. Just really odd.
Overall I though Biden's address was well delivered considering the 4 toed chimpanzees in the room that couldn't shut their yap for the hour. I do think he missed an opportunity to drum up support for Ukraine which I believe is very important in the here and now. Leave the other stuff for the campaign trail and hammer relentlessly on the GOP's out of touch stances on women's rights and the House's refusal to pursue bipartisan immigration reform.

I’m sure I’m missing at least a dozen others.
