Kemerer

I don't know what the current landscape or rules are around coaches, but would it be possible to hire someone like Kem as a consultant? I do think the program needs an outside perspective so I first thought about someone like Askren as a consultant. He wouldn't have to give up his club but can provide a new perspective and his guys seem to wrestle the way we want our guys to wrestle.

Why would a guy go from being a D1 assistant at a major program to being a "consultant"?

You can hire as many "consultants" as you want but they don't get to work directly with the wrestlers.

BTW, Kem is a guy I'd love to have on staff but in a fantasy world where there's an assistant coach house cleaning, it would be short sighted to fill every position with a former Iowa wrestler.
