Kris getting David Palmered

Comparing those two is an insult to Kris
Oh I agree that Kris is the better player. Being Palmered means you have a great game then get effectively benched for no reason the next game. It’s even more criminal that Fran is Palmering Kris given that Kris is a better player than Palmer was.

That seems awfully harsh. Why so negative?
I only watched a few minutes of Sunday's game, but when Minny had the run to close it from 22 to 13?, and Ulis lost the ball...Fran assaulted the folding chair and punched it about three times.

It was funny. Like I said, I don't watch many games but TU hasn't been good when I was observing.

Yesterday wasn't his best. He's been better and he's the best rebounding guard that we have. Fran inexplicably inserts him for Joe at the end of all the games. Along with his handling of Kris, that one's been a real head scratcher as well.

Oh, and it's AU not his brother Tyler.

Since you brought him up...
Palmer after basketball
Honestly don't remember the guy. Looked him up and saw he was around in the Dark Days. Didn't watch much basketball for a couple seasons there.... My first thought was the fictitious president from the early seasons of 24 played by Pedro Cerrano.... Kinda funny the former basketball player of the same name is now in politics!

I’m not comparing Kris to Palmer. I’m comparing Frans stupidity to Lick’s.
You said he got Palmered. What exactly did you mean by that? David Palmer had a lucky game. Are you saying that this is equivalent to Kris's game? Otherwise, WTF are you saying?

Yeah, has NOTHING whatsoever to do with Kris. BATL is high if he thinks so.

The substitution patterns seem strange. Joey T should have more minutes and Ahron fewer.

The biggest problem I see is the unwillingness to gain the maximum advantage from the smaller line up. They don't try to run the other bigs to death and then expect to defend the paint with a skinny guy that's less than 6'9". Recipe for getting killed on the boards.

But he won't play the bigs either. We are getting the worst of both systems.

No I’m saying that similar to how Palmer was sat by Lick right after a few hot games, Fran inexplicably sat Kris after his great IU game.

It's as if some of you don't even watch the games?

While this is true you're likely going to have Kris and/or Keegan racking up more fouls especially against true Bigs. It also doesn't really make the front line any better at rebounding if you're just substituting Kris for Rebraca. We all know what the elephant in the room is.
And we all know what the elephant on this board is and he should just stick to the Clowns board

Comparing Palmer to any basketball player is death. He was a one-hit wonder in his 4th year. Kris is just hitting stride barely in his second.

Those LIckliter teams were so bad that Palmer was the best option. I think that was the point of the OP.

Connor gets it. He faked an injury so his Dad would have to play the best players.

Well..if that wasn't the case, CMAC wasn't aware that Papa would make sure PMAC would get his minutes.
Fran is so stubborn that as it becomes more obvious Kris is better than PMAC, he will just double down on his tendency to play senority/loyalty/DNA over ability. At least PMAC hit a couple 3's, but his shot selection on drives was insane.

Except Plamer didn't get benched the next game, or the next, or the one after that. He just only performed in a two game stretch, nothing more.

This. There are minutes he should be getting at multiple forward spots. Hell, he’s the only forward who regularly comes off the bench! 11 minutes is a ****ing travesty!

5 min a game for Keegan, 10-15 for Filip and 10 for Pat. He should avg 25+ a game!
You have spent more time planning substitution minutes/patterns than Fran. It appears Fran's substitutions are based on his emotions, how he feels. That's why there are times his substitutions are brilliant, but most times are just inconsistent and lack planning.

Fran is trying to make sure he still have one of the Murray twins around for next year. Can't get noticed by the NBA if you're not playing.

This observation is completly independent of PM. But Kris didn't have a good game against Minnesota. In one sequence, he got backdoored on consecutive plays. In addition, Filip really showed out, especially in the first half.

Watch it again. Kris didn't have a bad game and he never got back doored, let alone twice in a row. He was beaten on a man to man contested layup and on the other one he slipped on the floor resulting in his man feeding another player for a backdoor. He played 11 minutes and those were the only points he allowed. He also blocked the shot of a player he wasn't defending, collected 2 rebounds while getting his hands on 3 others that other Hawks then collected, and scored 5 points. Extrapolating out his 11 minutes line over what the starters played and it's still the best line of anyone not named Keegan.

Rebraca was great that day. Best game as a Hawk.

I don’t agree...Ulis appears to be a steadier player than Joe T. I’d like to see Ulis and Joe split the point guard duties.
Like I said, I only watched a little of Sunday's game and Ulis didn't play well.

Essentially, Rebraca has a poor game and everybody bitches. Now Rebraca has a very good game, Kris gets a few less minutes, and everybody bitches. Par for the course here.
As previously mentioned... Minny doesn't have a true post player. Rebraca benefitted.

What's your point again? Every game is about "matchups".

Correct - Kris Murray often gets Rebraca's minutes. Rebraca had a good game so Kris didn't get as many. My point, besides that obvious one I guess, is it doesn't seem to matter if Rebraca plays well or not - everyone is going to bitch. For F sake the team won on the road and that isn't easy. But by all means lets let Kris get more minutes. Some games it just isn't going to be in the cards. And before everyone says Minny got back into the game - they got back into the game because they drained 25 footers that in most cases don't fall. They made a run. Iowa still won and many don't seem all that happy about it.

Dumb statement. Everyone is glad they one. We are all fans. You think that most people complaining about Fran's minutes distribution think that Kris should have taken more of Rebraca's minutes? Kris can play 2-4. Jbo played 30. Pmac played 32. Both played nearly the entire second half and looked completely gassed. Neither one was playing very well towards the end. Kris, who by all accounts is a more productive player than both and the second most productive player on the team, and a player who carried the team to a win the prior game with 29 points and 11 rebounds played 11. You don't find any of that open to criticism or at least could be questioned?

Bohannon and Murray are not the same player/position and at some point maybe you will figure that out. Kris Murray is not an off guard no matter how much you want to call him that. He doesn't handle the ball particularly well - for an off guard, which he is not. Bohannon and Patrick combined for just 2 turnovers in those 62 minutes. Another fact that often escapes the basketball stupid.
