Kueter Leg Cradle

That was super impressive then when he stood up I was Holyshit…he’s a beast. I knew he was big…I also understand that Ferentz and the LB coach (Wallace) are gonna make him a first round pick.

My guess is Keuter gives it a solid 18 months trying to do both and then gives up wrestling. I’m probably wrong as wrong could be. I just can’t think of doing 2 of the hardest sports, in the same season and preforming at an elite level for years (2-4)

Steve Williams at Oklahoma in the late 70s/early 80s is an example of a top level wrestler and football player that did both every year of college. He made it to the USFL, and All-American in wrestling, but Mark Schultz wrote in his book that had he focused on wrestling he could have been an NCAA champion.

It will be hard to do both, and I’m not sure it can be done without sacrificing potential in both sports. The difference between Williams and Kueter is he’s already a world class wrestler, not just an All American. He may very well be able to wrestle between January and March and win national titles. He’d then be ready for spring football. Summer would almost have to be a time for some rest, but also split between both sports. I hope he can do it.

Mark Schultz was a 3 time national champ and Olympic champ. Steve Williams finished 2nd in 1982 nationals to Baumgartner after beating Lou Banach in semis.

BK is amazing. But I’m not sure he ever sees the mat for the hawks. With his talent, he couod start as a frosh. But at which weight? He’ll prolly never see 197 again and it will be at least a couple of years until he’s a full fledged hwt.

He's a HWT . Football will never let him lose weight. And with Cassioppi having another year he will probably redshirt.

I’m not a big believer in crap like that. You can do it to guys in the practice room for chuckles, but in a Varsity match be more respectful.

He'll get in the 240 range for football. At 6'2 or 3 he will still move really well for a heavy. The question will be whether he can beat the 275 guys giving up that kind of weight.

That's a first for me, I've never seen that used for a pin successfully at the varsity level, very impressive, but no surprise it was Ben Kueter pulling it off.

One of the better kids on our team did it last year, and yes, it was a "flex". :)

Very humble kid though, extremely.

He should win state this year. Got 2nd last year.

You're not a believer in legal wrestling moves. Got it.

That was pretty cool. Kid is going to be an absolute beast. Selfishly I hope he dedicates himself to wrestling because he has unreal potential
I saw a recent interview where he discussed how excited he is for football at Iowa. I think he's all in for both sports which may not be good for either. If anyone can play 2 it's him, but I'm in the skeptical camp on how high he can climb the podium if splitting with football. Hope I'm wrong because Iowa wrestling really needs him.
