Latino Trump voters: “he’ll only deport the bad ones.”

The guy Trump put in charge said they’re all criminals. You can watch his testimony with AOC. That includes asylum seekers who did not come through a port of entry.
Well, they are. This isn't even debatable.

Again, the issue isn't that people don't want immigration. They just don't want illegal immigration. Those are two totally different things and the people that are here illegally should be deported.

They also don't understand 1) that many "illegal" immigrants are those who have simply outstayed their visa - often due to an immigration system that lacks to the resources to process requests in a timely manner; 2) most of these immigrants are not violent; 3) the sheer scale/expense/consequences of any such deportation effort.

Seriously - of one sort or another, and depending on who you believe; there's 10-20 million immigrants here illegally. American law enforcement does not begin to have the resources necessary to handle that; so now you're going to have to use the armed forces...that's going to go over well with american citizenry i'm sure. And as someone else mentioned, where are you going to send them? Just drop them off at the Rio Grande? What if Mexico refuses to take them?

Prediction - refugee camps will be set up out west as "holding areas" while the "details get worked out."

Basically creating our own American West Bank.

Good times, good times!

I think I read where a Democrat President set up internment camps for Japanese Americans once.
His name slips my mind at the moment…FDR something something…?

Is that violin music I hear playing softly in the background while pictures of crying babies come to mind?
Link to me favoring the punishment of a baby, please?
I like babies and don't think booting them back to their corrupt and dangerous home countries is a humane thing.

Sorry you're such a cold-hearted bitch.

And unlike you, I would have opposed it politically and with my vote. A shameful chapter in our nation's past that you people are only too eager to start up again, only this time with latinos.

Mexico doesn’t have to take them all because they’re not all Mexican citizens. They can be flown back to their country of origin.

"deported" has such negative connotations

I think we need to "teleport" these folks back south...

You're right it does seem negative. But teleport seems to futuristic. Why don't we say we're giving free Uber rides back to a sunny, warmer climate.

Unlike me? I wasn’t alive then and my parents were in junior high. Don’t tell me how I’d vote. You don’t know me.
“You people”? Wow.

So now you're going to fly them back home a couple hundred at a time? Tell me you're not serious. Not to mention any country could refuse to receive them.
“Seems” is a fanciful word.

And who exactly in the GOP is opposing Trump here?

Those details are all covered in the concept of a plan. We’ll have something for you in two weeks.

And who exactly in the GOP is opposing Trump here?
Who exactly has sent a bill up in his not yet inaugurated Administration for debate and a vote?
And the US has resources that are persuasive in getting those planes landed. Don’t be naive.

You hang on to your beliefs. There’s a need for folks like you. Dems gotta sell the hysteria to somebody, right?
Trump has sold nothing BUT hysteria.

But go on... you just keep believing that 1) Trump will send this to Congress for a vote, or that 2) if he did, they wouldn't pass it immediately.

Before or after some DEM lawyer (but I repeat myself) immediately brings a suit?

We've all read your political takes for years on this forum. They are reactionary, poorly thought out and mean-spirited.

If you have concerns with how you are being perceived, be a better person.

AOC sounds like she’s ASB president of her local High School while she attempts to debate an experienced adult.

What’s the cost of international flights for 20 million people?
A lot less than the billions just NYC is paying to support them. Thanks old Joe and kamala.

  • So far, in Fiscal Year 2023, NYC has spent $1.45 billion to help migrants
  • Much of the cost has gone toward providing shelter, food and services
  • Nearly 200 emergency shelters have opened in NYC since last year
  • Without policy changes, NYC could potentially spend $12 billion on asylum seekers over next three fiscal years

There’s apparently a lot of bad people with a poor understanding of history on this board

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
