on defense they return these from a defense that currently is
10th in total defense the grades they will be in.
DE RSSR Anthony Nelson who is tied with 7 sacks on the team
DT SR Lattimore who alternate with RSSR Brinks
DE RSSR Hesse who rotates with Eppenesa who also has 7 sacks
OLB RSJR Niemann
MLB RSSR Welch who rotates with Hockaday and Mends
OLB RSSO Colbert
CB JR Hankins
SS SR Hooker
CB SO Brents a starter this year

projected starters at the other open positions IN MY OPINION
FS JR Stone
DT RSSO Nixon

on offense
QB SR Stanley
RB RSJR Young/SO Sargeant/IKM
WR JR ISM
WR JR Brandon Smith
TE RSJR Hockenson
LT RSJR Jackson
RT JR Wirfs

projected starters for the open spots
SLOT Receiver RSFR Tracey
LG RSSR Landon Paulson
C RSJR Banwart
RG RSSR Levi Paulson

these replacement will be better than who they are replacing
losing WR Easley
LG Reynolds
RG Banwart who moves to center
C Render
they lose 3 starters on offense
and 3 primary starters on defense
DT Matt Nelson
DE Hesse
FS Gervase.

they will be one of the few teams that returns the most in the BT.

hesse is gone after this year.....

fant is the only one that will be tough to replace
and maybe easley(flame retardant suit on) :)

considering the paulson are still waiting, I wouldn't be too quick to give them a spot over some of the younger linemen we have coming up

We are going to need the experience next year as we play at Iowa State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Nebraska with home games vs. Penn St and Purdue.

I imagine our defensive back 7 have as much pure footspeed as last year's group, but their savvy, reaction time, leverage, etc is not the same, so they look slower. Here's to hoping it improves for next year's campaign

Same story as most seasons: defense plays well enough to win most games, but offense pisses games away. 7-5 or 6-6.

this is where these having another summer with Doyle will help. before the season most were questioning the WR's, now that they are better this year they will be better next season

the RB's will also improve like them before them
Wadley as a RSSO had 496 rushing yards in 14 games
Daniels as a true JR had 646 rushing yards in 14 games

Wadley as a RSJR had 1081 rushing in 13 games
Daniels as a true SR had 1058 rushing in 13 games

as for the OL Reynolds didn't start till his RSSR Year the 19 season they both will be RSSR's, Levi has already seen starts but this season he is listed as Wirfs backup and the backup to Banwart, Banwart has been listed as the backup to Renders who is a 1st year starter at the Center position.

so it will be interesting to see how the spring shakes out

19 Recruit OT Miller a 4* by 247 and ESPN comes in readu to play being 6'6 310 lbs will enroll in January. this might be enough to move Wirfs to a guard spot., we will just have to wait.
