Kirk made a huge mistake hiring his son to a position he was not qualified for. He has hurt his legacy and stunted his son's ability to coach at the NFL or college level.

I partially agree...The offense can work when you have an avg to above OL and somebody that is atleast somewhat competent coordinating it. I don't think that everything needs to change...just elements of it. Coaching at the QB/OL/ and playcalling, has held the overall performance of the offense down.

No one on this board hates Brian. The Ferentz family are a fine reputable and charitable people and have done wonderful things for the University of Iowa. Most people would agree Brian is an excellent position coach. Why can't posters realize Kirk has made a mistake in hiring his son, which is admirable, but was not smart. Nepotism rules are in place to prevent just what happened here. Barta is more at fault for letting this hire take place and surpassing the law by being Brian's boss.

No. He tried desperately to land any job elsewhere...He is/was toxic to everyone else involved in all levels of football due to the racial crap...fair or unfair.
