Los Angeles On Fire

Why don’t they make it rain in LA? After all, we heard all the tales about the libs controlling the weather and causing the hurricanes that hit Florida and North Carolina last year.

On its worst day, California is light years better than any red state and particularly FloriDuh and Texas
I love visiting Cali, love it. But I’d rather live in Texas/Florida/Iowa; if my only alternative was to live out my day during the worst day in the history of California.

My absolute moron of an ex-bro in law used to talk shit about California and its people. Then his job put him out there for a few weeks. Guess where he moved to?

Are we just going to pretend like Jews didn’t start this wildfire with their space lasers?
Well, if Trump says so you’d have a dozen posters here claiming it was true, and republicans in Congress supporting him for daring to tell the truth.

I see the mayor is on an overseas vacation as this is going on. I can't wait for every leftist who talked shit on Ted Cruz being on holiday during an ice storm to jump in and go after the democrat leader now. Even worse cuz they are a local leader. I'm sure this will happen any minute now.

Cruz took off during the emergency... not before it. He knew it was happening and chose to ditch his constituents so he and his family had electricity and comforts he wasn't going to have if they stayed.

As someone who has lived through a fire and lost pretty much all my possessions, I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. It's an absolute nightmare, even things that aren't turned to ash are ruined by smoke and water
Forest fires take structures all the way to the ground.. in some ways it makes it easier than a run of the mill kitchen fire or electrical fire in town where a quick fire response can be performed and the structure sustains major damage but could be repaired … with a grounder, at least they do not have to worry about repair/replace the house with their insurance, it’s gone, there is also zero reason for the ins company to investigate C&O on a forest fire and make insinuations that the homeowner started the fire intentionally.

Regardless, it’s rough for anyone, especially those that lost it all.

The images coming out with daylight are pretty rough, I pray everyone had enough time to get out and the damage is minimized as much as possible.

Also, those planes that can refill themselves with ocean water are AWESOME.

How could the mayor address water concerns when she's in Ghana at a random presidential inauguration?
I'd place a pretty big bet that the best the mayor could do about california reservoir levels is to place a call to the state, which she could probably do from ghana.

that said, the Marion Berry Super Bowl incident comes to mind...

Yeah in a strange way is better to have the fire level the house. Insurance was a nightmare and just on the emotional level there were still things in my house that weren't burned and looked ok but were still ruined. That might have been the hardest part.

I had to gut everything to the studs but the bones were still good
