If nothing else I think the pressure on republicans to get their house in order (pun intended), has been immense. This has been almost as embarrassing as the 15 McCarthy votes.
Will be interested to see if Jordan at least had the sense to demand the one person recall rule be changed.

I am almost more appalled that somebody who is in defiance of a subpoena could even be eligible for this position. That seems like a pretty large oversight in the rules.
Republicans are masters at finding loopholes or taking advantage of rules that were never thought of.

Reading between the lines, I have a sense that that’s a group of republicans who don’t want Jordan, but there isn’t a viable 2nd option anymore, and they’ve been a national punchline for two weeks.

As we speak. With a supermajority and no state Supreme Court to stop them. We'll go from 7 R's and 7 D's befitting our actual statewide vote to, at best, a 10-4 R majority in the US House. And if they can make it 11-3, they will. And the faux US Supreme Court says that's "constitutional".
I'm rather excited that Jordan might actually be Speaker when Jack Smith indicts him for conspiracy to commit insurrection.
