Agreed. Haven't seen it yet but a guy like Hall seems to make his own luck. To beat him, one has to wrestle 7 minutes physically and mentally with a game plan. One lapse in either department, good luck.

The guys at 74 better get while the getting is good because he is smaller than most. Going to have to outphysical him.

Yeah - talent and skill are undeniable but he's a bit small. Definitely at risk to take a loss here or there.

Considering he has been quoted as saying the cut to 163(24 hour weigh-in) is pretty hard, I would say 180 or so is more likely.

Edited to add for clarity: 17 lbs is definitely enough to make for a very hard cut while 180 to 174 can definitely make you a smallish 174lber.

Hall just came seconds away from losing to Ryan Preisch. He is very good, but saying that Jordan couldn't beat him because he isn't athletic enough is a stretch.

If he loses like he did in HS at Kentucky and then was held back moved to Apple Valley to re-start his quest....Maybe if he loses at Penn State they can hold him back and re-start his eligibility clock at Iowa and he can try for 4 out of 5 like he did 6 out of 7 in HS. He would look good in Black and Gold...

You're right, I doubt PSU will lose for the next 20 years. There's just no way anyone will be able to compete with them. Doesn't matter that Iowa will have Lee, Teasdale, Kemerer, Marinelli, Young, Warner, Stoll. PSU will most likely have at least 5 NCAA champions each year - this year it will be Suriano, Retherford, Nolf, Nickal, Hall...and Nevills, Joseph and McCutcheon will get 3rd. It's inevitable, just ask a lot of Hawk fans on this board.

When did they decide to put the College Football Playoffs Committee in charge of the NCAA wrestling championships? With those guys in charge neither Penn State or Iowa will be winning anything. Ohio State will be crowned NCAA champion right after finishing 3rd at Big10s.

I must be in the minority regarding OSU. I doubt Pic AAs, Brock is a top 5 guy, Heil is very vulnerable, as is Collica. Smith... 4-6 guy. Rogers is a mystery to me. Crutchmer and Boyd... 5-7 guys. 197 and Hw....low AAs.

In my scenario, that's a 3/4 team.

BTW: I'll be very surprised if Iowa does not win the dual.
