High level comment - I understand injuries, etc. But in no other sport do starters “sit” just because. (Yes, I realize NBA guys may sit from a strained toe)…

The regular season seems like a waste… Have your guys ranked… Keep them ranked … And sit them when there is a fear they could lose their ranking… All in prep for March…

Again… just general observation… Fans of the sport want to see the top guys battle each other - not sit “just because….”

Love wrestling and love the Hawks. And I appreciate what it takes to wrestle at this level … It’s just frustrating because it “seems” to happen more often where guys “sit.”

Nice to see young guys get a shot … But in no other sport do starters randomly just “sit” as much as they do in wrestling….And I know coaches are steering the bus … and making the call ….
Hockey players do from time to time for “maintenance days”. Figures it would be the two biggest hardass sports.

TNT had to manage Gabe's workload because they knew he'd wrestle the equavelant of two matches today.

When they know, they know.
Wrestling is hard when you have to go to SV against Ryder rogotske and 2OT against Jax Smith.

Putting up <5 points a match gets a guy tired.

The lack of understanding anything about the stall calls, the “interlocking” hands and calling 184 the match of the year lost my support for them. But yeah - you’re right - it gets worse on BTN+.
These guys were terrible! Not once did they tell us when there was an illegal fist to the back called.

Seems weird to throw shade at Gabe. Rogotskes a dangerous opponent that’s beat Gabe twice and he got over the hump. And he pushed smith all around the mat for 3 periods.

I forgot to put this dual on my calendar and completely missed it, so watched the replay on YouTube. It was a good one to fast-forward through (should've done the same for Penn St).

Disappointed not to see Ayala and Teemer in what would've been two good matches. Had to settle for Arnold in a nail-biter-that-didn't-need-to-be-a-nail-biter, and Kueter in a close win. I'll take it for 45 minutes of time invested.

Going up to his more natural weight of 133 didn't seem to make Petersen any better, nor has five years in the Iowa room made Schriever any better. I don't quite understand how you can be in this program and do that, but I suppose everyone has a ceiling, either physically or mentally.

Looking forward to Nebraska.
Nebraska might have our number this year.

Because I want him to open up and score more, put these guys away! These are the kinds of matches that turn into painful losses at NCAAs.
I get what you’re saying however there’s a huge risk opening up against Ragotzke as he’s a pinner and beat Gabe twice. I’m glad he got the W and I think he was in enough times this could give home confidence if they wrestle again. Smith backed to the edge all day today. Seemed like he would have overextended trying to force something. This match is why I wish they moved to a push out. Smith did nothing.
