Despite the lack of athleticism and some stupid decisions, I think JBo has outplayed Williams as a PG.
About on par with the venue, the tournament, tv production and Iowa's defense.
You can blame Fran for a lot stuff, but that failed inbounds play by Jok is kind of a microcosm of some of the crap that no amount of coaching can fix.
Well 6 minute mark that was to a T defensive rotations so they do know what they r doing led to 2 break out lay ups
They may lose but giving a hell of an effort and a lot more pleasant to watch. Three point shooting is a great equalizer. They have spurts but it's just a matter of putting it all together for the full game.
I was about to post the same thing. At least JBo is pushing the action and making things happen (not always good mind you but hopefully that will come). Seems to be better offensive flow when JBo is running the point rather than CW - and not just this game either.
Yeah and the switch to Williams just now kinda confirms it. Williams doesn't have as good of instincts. He thinks too much. And is probably more of a SG anyway
Not often you shoot 58% and lose. 18 turnovers and 13 offensive boards will do that.
