Minny, put in Garza!

I went to the T-Wolves at Pelicans game Wednesday night hoping to see him play. He never got off the bench. I don’t watch the NBA that closely. It must really depend on matchups for how much time bench players get.

7'1" Rudy Gobert was absent last night due to illness.

7'0" Karl-Anthony Towns has been out since Nov 29 with a calf injury.

6'9" Naz Reid, 6'9" Kyle Anderson and 6'9" Jaden McDaniels got into foul trouble, forcing the Minny HC to go deep into his bench.

The Bucks finished the game with a 68-36 rebounding advantage & 20 offensive rebounds.

After trailing by 11 at halftime, in the 2nd half the Bucks shot 61% and made 11 of 17 threes.

I watched the 2nd half of this game and Luka with bench guys plus ant really played well the second half of the 3rd qtr and most of the 4th.
In the postgame the head coach singled out Luka as playing great while in there.
Joker was sitting for a chunk of Lukas time and Luka went bully ball on at 3 drives to the hoop.
He always rebounds well and hustled his butt off on defense.

I was skeptical that Luka would stick in the league but he looked the part when I have caught him playing.
I hate Kats game and truly believe the wolves would be better off trading him for quality pieces or draft picks.
They commented that Ant-centric games go well for them.
Not a Kat fan at all.
Trade him and go with Luka Rudy and Reid.

The Wolves (18-21) beat the Trail Blazers (19-18), 113-106. Luka was the Wolves' 3rd leading scorer.

14: Luka Garza
11: Taurean Prince

Luka's stats:

1-1 from 3
......................

Turned the game on in time to see him play a couple of minutes in the 3rd quarter and he never got to touch the ball. However the wolves did score every trip down the floor with some pretty open looks. I like to think they were open because of the Garza threat to score

No idea why anyone would still doubt this guy.

NO ONE will out work him in a game, in the practice facility, in the off season, in life...

Absolute BEAST and earns everything he's ever got.
Anyone who thought he wouldn't be able to get buckets in the nba was crazy, hes one of the most versatile offensive bigs in the game.

Its always been a question of can he play the switching style of D most nba teams want to play.

Theres more teams playing zone all the time as a change of pace, I think that could end up as his niche.

Still don’t understand why they keep sending him back to Iowa all the time, unless the need the ratings/crowd excitement for the local kid. He’s clearly an effective NBA player, probably a bench guy, but for a team that is a borderline playoff team, there is no reason not to keep him on the roster, he provides a spark every time he comes in.

This could create a possible opening for Luka.

Naz is a 6'9 Center.
