I've been saying this since I watched a video about the the program since their ice cream coach took over. The video I watched looked like there wasn't a whole lot of order/leadership coming from Mr. Ice Cream. Silly to base so much off of one video, but he really looked like a dumbass.
This years recruiting class tells me not much good is happening with the Gophers.
Tracy Claeys has to be one of the most uninspiring coaches in any level of NCAA.
This is a game between two really bad teams. OSU can't run the ball and Minny has no passing game..
If Leidner plays like he has tonite... he'll be knocked unconscious before the end of the season. Looks tentative with his receivers and doesn't appear to have any confidence in them.

Our strategy and every other teams needs to be pound the rock at their true freshman 215 lb. DE. There is no way he can take a beating all game long against a 295 lb tackle.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not? In case you aren't... this is an inside joke with Gopher fans. They are so envious of Iowa fans that they routinely chant "Who Hates Iowa" in any random game at any random moment.
It's another reason they are an inferior fanbase and another reason Iowa fans can ridicule them.
Yep... this team is so poorly coached that he may get fired before the B1G season starts. What the hell was the defensive mindset where you have so little mental discipline? This is inexcusable in a P5 conference.

It would have been smart to run the offense back out there unexpectedly to maybe get Oregon State to burn a time out. But that was stupid.

Basically said his philosophy was to go for it there, because he thought Oregon State would just kick an EP if his team was only up by 7.
The Gophs are the definition of "one dimensional". The variance is Leidner's ability to scramble. He's big and strong, but it's a dangerous recipe to get your qb injured.
They appear to be pretty young, so I would expect the younger guys to wear down by mid season. The HC may have just made some inexperienced poor decisions but their were a lot of head scratchers too.
USA Today predicted that Minny will be Iowa's first loss. Based on what we saw Thursday nite... no way in hell the Gophs beat Iowa.
