MOCCO IS A HAWKEYE!!

not sure if this is true, but...

it certainly seems like TNT made a conscious decision to prioritize Michael over Dreshaun.
We know you're not sure, par for the course. Iowa has been in with him from Day 1. They weren't the first to contact or visit but they were very close. The training camp at Iowa sealed the deal for him,

5'10" and will be about 250lb when on campus. And let me be the first to say, he will have a better collegiate career than Ross. @smalls, that's what opinion, and not reporting, looks like. Don't judge the comment today please, let it play out. He is a completely different wrestler than Steve, with more talent, more moves, and with much of his dad's strengths as well. Huge compliment to Steve because he's developed Michael into what he is today and will be a big part of his growth, and others in the room, at Iowa
Is he actually 5'10 or is there a joke on here that I missed? I thought he looked taller than that.

Yep. So, if you have time watch the flo film they did several years ago that is now on youtube. Steve ended being coached and built a very tight relationship with both Tom and Terry. Part of the reason Steve left Iowa is when Tom took VA tech job.
Thanks. I did not know that.

He beat Bechtold in freestyle 3x previously to that match, twice by tech.

Great. Shows there can be a definitive difference between the two styles, despite the obvious similarities. Mocco was much smaller than him but there's plenty of time to add muscle. He probably already has.

Details as in a possible grayshirt, then redshirt, so he could have 4 full years as the starter? Maybe Colorado Springs for his grayshirt year?
Well I am not at liberty to discuss all the details, nor would I. But there are a lot of other details to consider, like summer competitions, training locations, obviously now a days there are legal and tax issues (Florida vs Iowa) etc.

I didn’t expect this with Mocco leaving Iowa for OSU.
Steve has admitted he was at his best while at Iowa, followed Terry to Co Springs and Iowa to train. He is very close with Terry and loves the idea that his son can train with his Olympic coach. Mocco left Iowa but trust me when I tell you that his love for and kinship with Iowa and the Brands remained. It also helps that Steve's wife is an Iowa grad!

He's 6'2, confirmed. Maybe even 6'3" I originally typed Steve's height because I was told Mike is 4 inches taller. Opps. Call that a "smalls" mistake...See what I did there? But once upon a time he was 5'10" too! :) Note to smalls, this is how you admit to mistakes. See what your "douche bag" comment will get you - it makes me focus on all the comment made of you, like not credible, a drunk, unprofessional, biased...and least everyone thinks you're incredibly handsome though ;)

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that Steve initially wanted to follow Tom to VaTech, but this is when coaches could still block where athletes could transfer to, and Z blocked all from VaTech and ISU when Tom left, so that left OSU open for Steve to transfer to....again, I have no documentation to confirm this, just what I was lead to understand from conversations over the years....

He was granted a full release by Z to go wherever he wanted, he considered following Tom but didn’t think he could make an Olympic team training at VTech and at the time the best guys were coming out of Stillwater. He talked about it in the Flo documentary.
