More Racial Remarks at Carver?

There also exists the possibility that he heard it, but that isn't what was actually said, which seems most likely to me.

Heck, as evidence by the other current RBY thread, it very well could have been someone saying 'Hey RBY, you are lucky Lee isn't Bigger' 😶

Don't do that. There is no 'but.'
Doesn't matter how mad anyone is, don't say that word.
Agree 100% I would never use that word but if he flipped me off more than likely I would just laugh at him or curse at him but yea never would use that one. I grew up and live in a very diverse town so yea I have some experience with this all the time.

What about the F word? The T word? The C word? The J word? The P word?

Be honest, how jealous are you that my comment to like ratio is so much better than yours?
Well to be honest with you I would not care if I ever got a like for a post. They don't make or break my day like they must yours if you don' t get them. and I don't post that often if you look at the years I have been on this board. I just like to call out trolls or in your case some one that is trying to stir up people over something that may or may not have happened. Were you there in hearing distance when this supposed slur happened? I've called you out before for your trolling posts. If you don't like it block me that will really show me. Go troll on a different board. And if likes are what you live for it's a pretty sad life for you.

Whatever you say, boomer.

I have viewed wrestling at Carver since it’s opening and sadly have heard numerous racial slurs from Iowa fans.
Numerous times over 40 years? And how many millions of people walked through those doors during that time? I can listen to a handful of songs that our kids are currently listening to and hear "numerous racial slurs" in 40 mins. So why aren't you attacking the music industry? Guys, we all live in the real world, and in the real world sadly we hear racial slurs more times than we would like - and once is too often. That being said, a racial slur by one moron or even a different moron each time someone steps foot in CHA should not be big news. Hell my little goddaughter loves what I consider to be pretty raunchy music and there are racial slurs throughout that crap. But we know for sure that we're not shutting down the music industry. I traveled throughout the US and many places in the world extensively during my career, and I know there are many on here who have traveled extensively for their careers, and I can say without a doubt that there are generally one or more idiots and racists wherever you go. But I can also say without any hesitation whatsoever that a place like CHA is one of if not the least racist venues I've ever attended. The people trying to stir the pot with this crap about CHA and racism need to get a fricking grip. They're either trying to stir the pot because their pathetic lives suck that bad or they are absolutely f'ing clueless when it comes to what goes on in the world. If you really want to make it your agenda to end racism - and God knows I would love to see an end to racism - one of the last places I would start is CHA. What a joke!!

RBY had a very nice compliment about ADS in the interview. He basically said if there was one guy that he didn't want to wrestle, (I am paraphrasing) it was Desanto. The guy breathes fire for 7 minutes.

…… me waiting for @Scruddy to break the news of the school that has no racial issues so I can have my kid immediately commit there.

Also holding my breath until that happens…

…..someone please make sure my kid gets the insurance money. I’m sure he’ll use it to build his own snake house when he gets to IOWA.

Yea we are a bunch of racist fans but we were the first ones to give Gable a standing O at Carver after he majored Cass. Just some food for thought Montel Marion was called this numerous times while in Iowa City. Just saying….

Might want to clarify you meant while a member of the Iowa team vs Iowa city being the location of the times you referred to.

You may want to at least consider the possibility that this incident happened, especially in light of the recent track record of racial discord in the football program.

My memory is getting bad but didn't cass get pinned this year? If so, would you guys give the guy that pinned him a standing ovation if he came to Carver?

The adverse consequences of racism within the University of Iowa are direct, immediate and severe. The University of Iowa athletic program, and the University of Iowa wrestling program, will judge the athlete of the content of his/her character, not on the color of his/her skin. Racism will find no home at the University of Iowa.

Yet for those of you who had the occasion to witness the United States Senates Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing of Judge Ketanji Brown-Jackson is to understand that racism is alive and well in the United States of America. And to an extraordinary degree, alive and well in the United States Senate .

To bury your head, or to close your eyes is no solution. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
Idiot

Who else would have given him a standing O at CHA? 🤔

Wtf does the football program and what may or may not have happened there have anything to do with this? Nothing
