Hell you can only think of two that’s not bad; I can think of three on Iowas team alone from 174-197.Lewan - Michigan

Why exclude Iowa? I’ve seen some uninspired wrestling by some Hawks. It’s really quite amazing. Same sh!t different year.
Including RBY is beyond delusional jealousy.RBY Max Dean
Because I don't want to call out Iowa guys. That happens plenty alreadyWhy exclude Iowa? I’ve seen some uninspired wrestling by some Hawks. It’s really quite amazing. Same sh!t different year.
Yeah, fans can not like him for their own reasons, but boring?I wish we had that type of boring here at Iowa.
No I totally respect both guys im not insane. I just find them to be boring for how elite they are. RBY is technically amazing and probably the best athlete in the sport but he very rarely gets pins which are the most exciting thing in the sport imo.Including RBY is beyond delusional jealousy.
Add Mitch Moore and Jarrett Jacques to that list.I can only think of 6 good ones
1 facundo
2 lewan
3Warner
4 brands
5 amine
6 starroci
If we are going outside of conference I would add paniro Johnson tooAdd Mitch Moore and Jarrett Jacques to that list.
Max dean all day every dayAdd Mitch Moore and Jarrett Jacques to that list.
I have never seen a wrestler of Bravo-Young's ability and accomplishments (probable 3-time NCAA champ) completely turtle up --- what he did at the start of the 3rd period was the most blatant display of stalling that I've ever seen, bar none. Referees nowdays have no courage to quickly call stalling, or maybe have simply been trained that way. Any time a wrestler does what Bravo-Young did should be called for stalling within 5 seconds. I've soured to college wrestling, knowing that almost every match will be boring, and most of this is due to the way the wrestlers are coached, and the way the matches are officiated.Sorry @Redm18 — no way you can call that “boring”. RBY is lightning in a singlet.
Idk they called Real Woods for stalling on bottom 2x reaaaaaal quick. Ironside was losing his shit! 😂I have never seen a wrestler of Bravo-Young's ability and accomplishments (probable 3-time NCAA champ) completely turtle up --- what he did at the start of the 3rd period was the most blatant display of stalling that I've ever seen, bar none. That was sickening. That ref should never be allowed another D1 match. Absolutely pathetic.Idk they called Real Woods for stalling on bottom 2x reaaaaaal quick. Ironside was losing his shit! 😂

That wasn’t turtling. If you couldn’t see the cat-and-mouse that was going on there, then I don’t know what to say.I have never seen a wrestler of Bravo-Young's ability and accomplishments (probable 3-time NCAA champ) completely turtle up --- what he did at the start of the 3rd period was the most blatant display of stalling that I've ever seen, bar none. I pulled up the video on youtube because I thought maybe I had missed some legitimate hand fighting underneath. At the whistle, Bravo-Young immediately dropped his head/shoulders to the mat and turtled up for 30 seconds. Yes, Nagao was trying to get hand control underneath, but didn't have much success because of Bravo-Young closing off everything (i.e. avoiding action, which is stalling). Then from 1:30 to 1:15 he was on his base with arms locked into place, just sitting there like a stone -- Nagao was trying his best to engage in some wrestling, but Bravo-Young was having none of that. The ref then bizarrely called a stalemate! On the re-start, guess who turtled again? To me, this was an extreme case of blatant stalling. Check out the video. He was fighting hands underneath. You know who else does that? Spencer Lee. Look down, cut off one side, get hand control and up and out. Nagao is just damn good on top and was able to reestablish hand control. You want to slam how they hook and sit on the ankle during a ride, I'm for that but this wasn't it.
The better question is why ride him out? No chance to win doing that. My recollection is that RBY was blocking off his right side to prevent Nagao fromI pulled up the video on youtube because I thought maybe I had missed some legitimate hand fighting underneath. Because nobody is beating RBY from neutral. As hopeless as it might be to turn RBY, that’s the best chance Nagao had.The better question is why ride him out? No chance to win doing that. Should have let him up
You're going to get Iowa fans calling him boring forever after he consistently stretched the limits of stalling against Desanto. The hand behind his back doing nothing for 2.5 rounds and getting a takedown once Austin got tired without a stall warning/point was infuriating.Sorry @Redm18 — no way you can call that “boring”. RBY is lightning in a singlet.
I agree with sasso except he is so flexible it's interesting to watch.if the name SASSO isnt on your list i think then you may all have missed the OBVIOUS... I would rather watch cars rust or paint dry than watch Sasso pull off his stalling show... I mean that dudes stalls on his feet just to set up his highlighted Stall from the bottom that transitions into the stall ride from the top. Yes , the Hawks have a couple of fellas that will frustrate us all because we 9know what they are capable of doing but Ive watch Sasso and Stallrocci since they were in high school and unless its a total walkover of a JV guy.... they both have done that same stall routine for years now.
Simple - he had a better chance of turning him (slim) than taking him down (zero). The better question is why ride him out? No chance to win doing that. Should have let him up
