There are so many GD self-proclaimed experts on this board. I wonder how many thought that Karl Malone would be a perennial all star...
😉
When Karl delivered the mail, it stayed delivered! Still sits as the second all-time scorer in the NBA, but should be passed by LeBron next year. No one else playing today is even close to these top scorers.
If anyone had hope of Joe coming back, it appears he has an agent.
The poll should have also stated90% in this poll would take Player A.
What will NBA teams do?
Player A: Joe Wieskamp, IOWA
Player B: Corey Kispert, Gonzaga

Player A against Big Ten Conference

Maybe its standard in the NBA combine (i have no idea), but normally when referring to vertical, most are referencing a standing number. The 42" was a 'max vertical' i.e. a running start.6'11 wingspan and 42 inch vertical?
Are you kidding me?
Im having trouble reconciling that with the lack of impressive dunks relative to those measurements.
JA Marant's vertical is 42 and he looks like he's jumping off a trampoline.
Zions is only 45.
42 inch vertical should put you head level with the rim at 6'5
I never saw anything remotely close to that from Joe.
Especially when you count the strength of competition in conference play.90% in this poll would take Player A.

Kinda looks like Frank is doing the full court sales press right now after Luka had to pull out of the combine and tested poorly in the drills. I wish the big guy the best and hope at least one team looks at him as a a unique individual, who can't be summed up by workout numbers.
Yes, I realize that. They measure both but any discussion in reference to vertical I just assume is using standing. I failed to notice the "max" part.Maybe its standard in the NBA combine (i have no idea), but normally when referring to vertical, most are referencing a standing number. Just in case we're comparing apples to oranges.

yeah, its a shame Luka was not able to shine in those 2 scrimmagesKinda looks like Frank is doing the full court sales press right now after Luka had to pull out of the combine and tested poorly in the drills. Almost wonder now if coming back to college for his last year would be his best move? Maybe solidify a 1st round pick and move up a little higher in the round? He could end up being one of the top shooting guards available. I think that would be better than being a 2nd rounder this year but at least he is proving a lot of people wrong. Good to see.
Lol, that is the worst decision he could makeAlmost wonder now if coming back to college for his last year would be his best move? Absolutely.Unfortunately, no. His stock will not improve with another year at Iowa. Joe needs to strike while the iron's hot.
