The story is that Paul Reinhart was in the beginning stages of a divorce with wife, Minde. They had two young boys and the youngest served as batboy for the Gators so they knew Coach O'Sullivan. The dad killed himself and both boys. O'Sullivan subsequently married Minde about a year and a half later.

Jack McGuire of Barstool made this claim on his show - with zero evidence:

"Back in 2021, Florida's baseball coach allegedly slept with one of the bat boy's mothers. When the mother's husband found out about it, he killed himself and his two kids, set his house on fire. Then, after all this happened, the mother went and married Florida's baseball coach."
