NCAA Championship Thread : Session III

I just rewatched the end of Murin's match and Yianni did a good job of keeping his left arm posted and his body high and more vertical. There were certainly moments of back exposure but I don't think any of it gave rise to a 2 count

Was it be cause he had his elbows down or back not close enough to mat? IDK am asking.

But, wow, Max was so close. Great match by him!
I believe the rule says if you don't have one of the shoulders down with 45 degrees, them both shoulders have to be within four inches of the mat.

Without the ability of hindsight would you have picked down? Yes, yes you would have.
99% of the iowa fanbase hasn't seen that kid wrestle before - everyone would've liked Lee's chances to escape and get back to work in neutral.

And your comment doesn't get my ass wet. It just makes you look like a moran.
No I wouldn't have picked down. We've seen Spencer do this the last 5 years. He's always had issues with bottom. He wanted to take neutral. Coaches put him in a bad position. That's not good coaching.

Yep, Spencer Lee knows more about wrestling than 2 guys with how many with 5 NCAA Titles and how many World Championships between them?

Yes. I believe he studies and analyzes the sport more than they do. I believe he thinks critically about the sport more than they do.

Listening to Spencer talk wrestling and it seems he is more engaged into todays style, so I’d take his word on what he wants to do over someone standing on sidelines.
