I was pulling for max to pull it off but Yanni did defend well.

I just rewatched the end of Murin's match and Yianni did a good job of keeping his left arm posted and his body high and more vertical. There were certainly moments of back exposure but I don't think any of it gave rise to a 2 count

However, is an example of what I don’t like about the scoring system. Max got taken down 4 times and only offensive points were a TD late in match and yet he’s only down by one point. Does that make sense?

No I wouldn't have picked down. We've seen Spencer do this the last 5 years. He's always had issues with bottom. He wanted to take neutral. Coaches put him in a bad position. That's not good coaching.

Wow ref just gave Haines the quick pin that he wouldn't give Andonian. I think it was a pin but crazy how that works differently. Haines didn't get the same treatment on his back IN THE SAME MATCH
