He's had the injured finger all year and wrestled the same way this year when he didn't have the injured knee. For whatever reason this year he's not been on the offense for a majority of his matches. And his opponents for the most part figured out how to wrestle his no offense plan. Sadly when you wrestle all year to win by a TD that's what happens. Just asking Alex...
Red does stall especially as a match goes on and he gasses.

So funny you say that. I remember back in November and December when many of us were acting concerned about the way the Hawks were wrestling back then, yet so many were telling us to be patient because we're a long ways from March. Well March is here and we're still looking the same. I get the injuries, but injuries aren't to blame for some of this lame wrestling.
Still a 3x AA (2x at NCAAs). Beat Deakin twice one year for it. Say what you will, but I’d be okay having a couple Kaleb Youngs on my team.

I hate penn st. Just tired of getting hyped for my Hawks every year only to be backhanded at Nationals. Guy can only take so much. Maybe I’ll just lower my expectations next year.

I think he depends on that knee for offensive production and is struggling to adjust to plan B offense especially with bad knee.
He never seemed fully dialed in this year. Had the hand before but something was missing. Maybe some hew going on.

Recall a current Iowa assistant that wrestled this way. Won a lot, but usually a snooze fest. Can't help but think part of it's the coaching they're getting. Maybe not, but very similar style

At this point, ISU isn't all that far ahead of where they were with KJ calling the shots. Dresser is a joke.
Gotta question just how smart a kid like Swidersky is for signing with ISU? Outside of Carr... they've been nearly a dumpster fire since Dresser and his Hawkeye wannabees arrived.
No one in the quarterfinals for ISU is something KJ would be criticized for and it's EXACTLY where ISU is right now, five years into KD's regime.

I’m very glad Jayden Eierman was a Hawkeye. In my mind, always a Hawkeye.
