Lisa Bluder and the 3-seeded lady Hawkeyes with a golden opportunity tonight in a Sweet 16 tourney match-up in Oklahoma City. A win would be a giant step forward for the Iowa women's basketball program. 2-seed B12 Champion Baylor stands in the way.

Good luck to the ladies!

Semior Samantha Logic is the only player in NCAA history to record 1500 career points, 900 rebounds, 800 assists, and 200 steals. The Hawkeyes will need a big game from Logic tonight.

Would be the biggest W of the Bluder era by far. The PG battle features two of the best in the country, so that will be interesting to watch.

Iowa is going to need about 90 points tonight........ either that of Baylor needs to cool off.

Agbuke just has that look of major trash talker.

Should be a long game since the officials are going to call every little bit of contact Iowa makes on mighty Baylor.

BAU....oh well. Good season by the women. Got over the hump and got to the Sweet 16 at least. Just can't be allowed to compete with the hierarchy of college basketball.

Jennings had a good 1st half. Hit a couple key 3s and handled the ball pretty well against pressure. She will be the engine at the point next year.

If Disterhoft can pick up her game to her normal output again, I think the Hawks will be able to get back in this game. Needs to start getting some points!

Lol Baylor is ghetto ball but they win games. Too bad.

Iowa is apparently content with giving up threes because hands up with space between the shooter is not necessarily gonna deter Baylor from jacking up (and making) 3s.

Gutsy move to put Dolittle back in with 2 fouls but it paid off. Now they just need to shore things up on defense and find a way to get Baylor to cool off and not just let them keep Iowa at bay.

Well that figures. Baylor is just gonna keep knocking down shots from f***ing everywhere and Iowa will now force things up until they dig themselves too deep a hole. Boring and predictable bullsh**.

Keep playing zone and giving them space on every shot and then somehow get into a one on one down low while in a zone, defensively. That should work at the college level....................

Wheels came off tonight. Defensive effort was poor to start, and defensive strategy suspect. Disterhorft might be our most consistent player for the season, but is beyond horrible this game.

Iowa just cannot stay with teams who play big athletic post players. .... but this is no secret. Coley has the height but gets pushed around too easily.

Also, that Baylor girl from Australia is having a field day against Iowa's guards, scoring a will. I don't think she has missed a shot all night.

Defensive strategy and effort was questionable at best.

Having said that, the difference between the top 8-10 teams and the 11-25 teams in the women's game is simply astounding.

Agreed. There is, and has always been, little parity in wmns bball.

She can't even sustain an unguarded dribble tonight. Ugly game to send out the seniors. Are we the only team that doesn't have a handful of kids that look like they got plucked off "The First 48"?

I agree - big gap -especially outside the top 5 or so. I think it will eventually even out but it will take awhile. Iowa just needs to keep upgrading their recruiting. Get some big post players.

Would like to think that Iowa's crowds shown in their first two rounds will help influence future recruits that Iowa could help bridge that gap in the years to come.

Thank you to a legendary group of seniors. For the coaches and returning players, this stinker needs to be remembered and learned from.
