No, second and third stringers deserve to play hard. The play was just straight ahead. NE just gave up.

I didn’t really like either of the targeting calls. The first one he did definitionally make helmet-to-helmet contact so the refs have to call it. I just feel bad for the kid because he was clearly trying to hit with his shoulder and as soon as it happened he knew he missed the shoulder.
The second call was worse. It looked to me like he hit with the back of his shoulder. On some of these bang-bang plays we make it really hard on the defense.
Also it would have been nice if Nebraska could have beat Wisconsin next week but hard to see that happening with both starting safeties out for the first half.
