I remember reading somewhere (on The Mat or Michigan Grapple) around the time he transferred that the reason why he would not lose a year was because he was transferring to be with his "Olympic Coach." Who in this case is Hrovat I believe. Him qualifying for the Olympic Redshirt was not enough, there was some training stipulation as well that had to be met. Like I said I read this on a forum somewhere so don't take it as gospel, but that was my general understanding.
