There hasn't been much news lately. Only heard of Christian Vital. Not sure he is what we need. But I would take him.
Things may get a little noisier after the Final Four. I am guessing that Fran will hit the road hard soon after the dance is over. That and the players who are transfer possibilities, along with who is still available and not fully committed will be more known.
Curious can players sign now from all ranks (HS, JUCO) or is there a waiting period? Transfers cannot sign until after the semester, I would imagine. But I do not know if there are dates on those or not either...

Iowa would probably be fine bringing in a combo guard and not simply a point guard. Iowa needs someone else to handle the ball on occasion. You can never have too many ball handlers...ask Georges Niang.
I would hardly say they are in need of new players, considering they have 4 new players coming in, and two that came in last year that didn't really play. How about we see how the one's here work out first
Agreed 100%, need to find a good quality PG who can attack the rim and force the defense to collapse on them. If you have a quality PG who can do that, then your offense opens up for the shooters as well as the Big guys.
I'd be curious to see who Fran goes after if any transfers. I think there are some quality Grad transfers out there, now it all depends on if he wants them or not.
Jon Rothstein is usually a good person to follow in Twitter for transfer news. Haven't seen Iowa mentioned too much.
That is a good point. We do have a few guys yet to play. I am eager to see them hit the floor. Christian Williams did show some promise. Bohannon looks like he can definitely score. So there is potential...
That said, we got one scholarship, with the possibility of two to be available. If someone is out there, we will take them. What will be telling is who they take. If Fran grabs someone that isn't highly thought of, what does that tell us of his confidence in who we have...?
It would be great if Fran could get an outstanding PG. It would not be so good if he he tied up a scholarship with a non contributor.

Hopefully BE decides to also move on after his talk with Fran. The Soukop (sp?) are more than adequate replacements for BE on both ends of the court.
Where are you getting this information? Are you sure he comes home today? I understood he was off to see a player or two. Of course the post season meetings have already taken place. Do you just freaking make stuff up? You post like you know something but you don't.
I was told they have many options for a grad transfer as they have heard from several kids. What I don't know is if any of them fit the bill and have the talent we need to compete. I would imagine the staff will be very choosy.
