Niang is such a class act

This thread is dumb. Niang is a good guy. He has fun after college games and winning a big game. Does not make him bad. Especially someof the stuff people are saying on this forum. "Can we kick gessell off the team" thread. T
That thread and many other comments are ISU trolls trying to stir crap.

Why are you on this board? shouldn't you be rubbing d*cks with the others on cyclownfanatic?

The fact that ISU fan shows up here for us to validate their program is all you need to know. They have nothing else and are desperate for attention. It's really sad if you think about it.

You need to make up your mind, Floyd. First, history is nonessential and then it matters to you. Which is it?

Because, I don't recall any other team as a #3 seed that lost to a #14 seed last March? Excusing it as if it is some every day or even every tourney occurrence is silly.

As for football, I'll continue to rely upon isu as a point of reference. History or present... things do not seem to change very much. No championships (since 1912), no January bowls, only three bowl wins in the entire history of the program.... aw, you get what I am saying.

cough BAYLOR cough...oh yippee

ISU still is. 2 head to head wins and when ISU got up big in Carver, they knew how to finish.

Last I checked the tourney is how succes is determined and Iowa is better than little bro.

If the tourney is to be ignored then great, will Is It smack around clown fans when they tout isu's performance in the next tourney?

Do tell us Is It.

Sure Iowa did better in the tourney, but anyone can look at both teams' season and determine ISU had the better season and bitch smacked you head to head.

So yea, Iowa had a better end to the season, but ISU was better and had the better season.

The Directors Cup says differently. Or must we ignore that? Really your little bro syndrome won't show Is It.

"Can we kick gessell off the team" thread. The Matt Thomas thread that was deleated. Morris is a thug (no he is actually a really nice guy). Its just stupid that these thread exist. I imagine the Hawks have some nice kids on there team. Just because i dislike them as basketball players dont mean they are thugs and not class acts. Means that when they win. They are allowed to have fun and poke the other players of the other team. Btw did you know that almost all of these guys ate friends off the court. They all know each other from aau ball, playing 4 years against each other, basketball camps and so on. So a lot of times its them messing with there friends. I know Niang and Buddy hield are good friends and georges pokes on him all the tiem.

As a hawk fan, I actually agree with you. I have no problem with anything he does. It's not like he was crying when we were are all over him after the UAB game. I'm fine with his antics, as long as he doesn't cry, "poor me." He has the rare ability to back them up. By all accounts, seems to be a good guy. I believe Jok is pretty good friends with him as well.

So you wouldn't trade a few wins during the regular season, for an NCAA tournament win? That's very dumb.

Clown fan logic at its finest. Beating Iowa trumps winning NCAA tourney games.

Just don't call them little bro because of it . That isn't fair.

The reason ISU fans look at HR is for entertainment. The arrogance of the Hawk fanbase is astonishing and should be studied. Because of this, beating you in basketball or football is so much more glorious and rewarding. Every fanbase needs to be humble so keep this in perspective, you've won 1 NCAA game in the last decade, you've played for the same number of football national championships as Kansas over that decade and have the same odds of winning a football championship this year as KU. Rose Bowl!!!!!

The reason isu is laughed is their douchy fans, players, coaches, racist students, donors and AD.

Their little bro syndrome is pure entertainment. Can we have some more?

Key Questions in this debate!

1. What IS Iowa's current Top 25 rating?

2. What is ISU's current Top 25 rating?

3. How highly were the Hawks rated at the END of last season?

4. How highly were the Cyclones rated at the end of last season?

5. What is Iowa Coach McCaffrey's record against ISU?

The answers to these questions should end the debate that's been on going in this thread...at least, for anyone with an ounce of rationality. Iowa played its A game last night and caught an overconfident Cyclone team off guard...nearly pulling off a huge upset. Well done by the Iowa squad, but its rather obvious that ISU is a far better basketball team and program at this point...and this has been clearly the case since Fred Hoiberg arrived in Ames and turned things around. Prohm has done nothing but extend that dominance thus far.

Denying these rather obvious realities (obvious, at least, to anyone other than rabid Hawkeye partisans) won't change things for the Hawks, and you'd be far wiser to try and figure out why ISU has come to dominate basketball in the state of Iowa, and has become a nationally relevant program, while Iowa seems trapped in a funk of mediocrity.

Yes, yes let the butt hurt flow through you. Tell me ISU sucks at football, you're right. ;)

Congrats. You guys have seen some success in the past few years. You deserve to talk crap. Especially to us. Have had our number. But nationally relevant? You've been to ONE (1) sweet sixteen in the last decade. Will be fun to watch this fall in the next few years!

Honest question - Do you guys believe Prohm is the answer for the future?

Starting line-up next year: Jackson, Thomas, Burton, Carter, Young. Maybe Morris, probably not. I'm good with it and believe in Prohm.

They stormed the field????????

Seriously your taking a video from a reporter. Was that the footage Fox Shot after the game?? Because all i remember seeing is the players walking over to get the trophy and that was it. There was no court storming or people all over the field.

Were there this many Iowa fans on Clownnation the day after fighting for respect from ISU fans? Doubt it.

Nice Try, but come back when you have something worth while to contribute.

It's a celebration, and you know it. And, you damn well know if ISU would have been up 20 in the second half, and Iowa stormed back at the end and won, they would have been jumping around like crazy. If not--there's something wrong with them.

And, you damn well know if you were a student sitting in the stands at Hilton last night, you would have stormed the floor too.

If you deny either of those statements, you're flat out lying.

FYI I don't give a crap about your respect:)

Iowa State fan comes over to an Iowa board and poses as an Okie State fan doesn't care about your respect...

Ummm I have no problem with the players celebrating, they earned the win. Did that video go viral?? Was it all over the news and sports center?? I don't remember seeing it if it was. You got it from HawkeyeCentral which isn't a nationally known website.

I wasn't against ISU players celebrating last night, I was against the fans. It was all over the media today about how someone got hurt and the #4 team stormed the floor. Sorry buddy but your not going to win this one. Just admit it, your trying to get attention and validate why they stormed the floor. That screams Little Brother Syndrome.

Iowa players celebrating on the field is a little different than 8,000 fans storming the court. Sorry boss you lose again.

Answer my question: You're a student in that situation, and you wouldn't storm the floor? Answer it honestly.

Yeah, someone got hurt. So, should we stop all fun in the world? We could make every two lane highway in the country a divided road with a median in-between. Accidents happen, and they always will. Life goes on.

What's "all over the media" is wrong, of course, but despite the corrections, it will always be repeated as true by a certain type of person.

For the record, I don't think the students should have run out to celebrate with the team. I can understand why it happened, due to the way the game went, and I think the same thing, under the same circumstances, would have produced the same result at a vast majority of venues.

The people in charge reacted quickly by playing "Sweet Caroline," which immediately changed the character of the incident. But it shouldn't have happened, and actions have consequences.

That's precious... especially since there are now 'media' reports including recorded and replayed comments from the person who was injured.

Guess we can't chalk this one up to the memory lapse.

Carry on... you always do.

Randy Peterson wasn't hurt by being run over. He was hurt because he was jumping up and down cheering his way to the court and got tangled with a fan.

In fact, the video I saw looked like he may have jumped down off something like a chair

As long as they are part of the Jayhawk conference, ISU needs to shut it.

How embarrassing to have 1 team thoroughly dominate the conference for over a decade. A DECADE!! Pathetic.

We do know since ISU has dominated Iowa during that decade, Iowa wouldn't have put up a fight in stopping the Jayhawks.

Obviously you can go back in time and say you wish this or that, but bottom line, upsets happen. ISU had won 4 tourney games in the 3 years prior. Dice it how you want but ISU still had the better season overall last year.
